ya man this is by far the funnest event ive played to date. The moments of confusion were far shadowed by the moments of pure randomized genious. I want to do this everytime. Can we make slammo an annual event? then we can all be ultra prepared for next time. SO i didnt get to say goodbye to alot of people we had to leave pretty early. so thanks to greg and nicola for being such accomodating hosts. Ive never seen such a setup. The food was great and much needed so thanks to byron i think? Also thanks to all that helped us get the keys out of the car in the morning. i know im just gonna keep forgetting thanks and more. but if i missed you just know that our interactions affected both of us regardless. oh ya and all the other artists that played along with us. It has been an honor.

Phew, good times out in the forest! That configuration was crazy, looked like the deck of the Enterprise up there! Thanks to all who brought the madness - excellent way to ramp it up throughout the evening, definitely a unique musical experience.
Tsk, too bad it's only Monday...

here's a snippet from the sound guy Byron's comment - "I don't like to consider myself to be extremely Jaded or anything, but as far as parties go, I have usually seen that or done that. Slammo is something I have NEVER seen or done. The 7 way live PA was fantastic. I was really impressed that there was not a complete and total trainwreck for the whole set. It was living production. The music was evolving without discussion and without planning and without apparent stress from the performers. It was like the glitched out psychedelic version of the old school jazz clubs, where musicians just showed up and jammed all night. I had the unique perspective of the music - being able to solo monitor any of the 5 DJ mixers as they were coming into my 16 track mixer, so I could easily find out who was playing what and that was pretty cool."
i'll get some up on myspace soon from my cell camera. i didn't get any nighttime pics because it doesn't have a flash. i know there were plenty of other peeps out there with cameras so we'll have to wait for those links to start showin up.

had a great time.
stars were incredible, i was really enjoying listening, laying down and looking up.
at times the music was just perfectly flowing and i was very impressed. it really had the energy of a true jam session.
i felt inspired and have been working on making music since. i hope to be a part next time for sure.
i really think we are onto something bigger. congrats to squee n nicola for bringing us together in such a fine way.
i know the feeling after an event when you just want to collapse but cant.
maybe next time, you should have directions on how to leave also... we had to work the little braincell to the bone to reverse -engineer the route.
the spot was awesome though, and for a party that size, perfect.
if only there were more shade i would have kept djing, thanks to those who were dancing and made nice comments.
i really enjoyed spending time with everyone, super excited about being here.

we will send out a dvd of the recording to you asap tom, we have an upload limit at home that is stopping us from uploading the night. I listened to the first 6 hours on tuesday though, and it was good fun. a couple hours of us figuring stuff out, and then, SLAMMO, the set starts really rocking.
Thanks to all who came, next year we will give you more notice and more promo.
