...Now i wonder why is Silicon Sound track "Shodan" from Beaches and Cream Compilation as a music support to the news of or main TV channel? have they made a deal with dragonfly for licensing or is it an illegal use of this track? |

A guy that works in RTP and is in charge for the program right before the news there is a member of this forum and was also at Sonica this year where i met him so he might be responsible for this

I didn't knew this track by Silicon Sound, but I'm hearing the sample on Saikosounds and I'm going to pay more atention to the opening of the news broadcast tonight. Thanks for the tip... |

rui ferreira, you are 100% sure of that i had exactly the same feeling but its just a sample, had listen it else on movies and series... the same.
I love that silicon sound track, evry time i was listening the rtp 1 news i had tingling sensation!!! hehehe silicon sound is the nº1! |

what i had heard was dat..ppl. can use tracksss and stuff upto certain number of seconds ...once it gets too long..they gotta get the licence 2 use it..

well this is not the same sample that silicon Sound used in their track, but what RTP1 uses as a support in the broadcast news is the silicon Sound track Shodan and i am positivly shure, and i tell you guys it's not the first time that it happens, as i had the chance to listen to tunes from Saafi brothers first album also as a support of a tv program for children on Rtp2 like one year ago,, and they where using more than one minute of the tunes,ading stupid filters so that it wouldn't sound exactly like in the record...now i keep wonder if they gave any credits to the artists or made any deal with them?

Actually GMS-Mescaline is the soundtrack of a TV advertsiment for a Surf Wear/Watch(can´t remember the name).. I wonder if they pay something to Spun....
