Séance which translated means " in communication with spirits" is the 2nd full length album by indian producer Jigar Shah,who wrote and arranged this whole album at sea,where he works as a marine engineer.4 years after his debut release,he brings to us Séance which reflects jigar's artistic skill's as a fully blossommed,ripe musician,showcasing all his accquired skills as an accomplished artist with over 40 releases on various well established labels over the past 6 years and now with 2 full length albums and 1 Ep released under Devils Mind Records.
All tracks in Séance were written at sea,taking his inspirations from the infinite ocean and his travels across the sea's,the album is very well concieved with a varied selection of tracks which have a very unique style of sound which jigar has developed over the years show's an artist who has mastered his craft over time and has accquired a vast selection of sounds which have been masterfully crafted to take the dancer's and listeners to initiate a Séance.
The first track " Inner soul " is a perfect example of the things to come as the seance starts,with a pumping bass and crystal clear sounds the journey begins at a driving pace.Perfect hypnotic sounds,structured into complex patterns,weaving in and out of the sonic spectrum creating a kaleidoscopic tunnel of colourfull sounds which swirl about like electric spirals creating a pathway of communication between the dancer and the spirit world.i dont want to write about each track as it unfolds as the listeners and dancers will find their own line of communication within the Seance,and not to give away too much , this is 1 complete album which is very well balanced in psychedelic sonic terms. with each track jigar has done something special ,combining various styles of dark psychedelic night sound into a well structured complete piece of work.with each track he opens a different line of communication between the dancers and the music, as the sounds tend to push them upwards into a colorfull sonic garden of spiral flowers and into an ambience of mystery and magic.ending the beautifull journey with "the calling" which tends to calm the listeners with its magical atmospherics and then explodes them through a pumping lush bass as all the sounds tend to combine and form the lingual tone of the Séance.wonderfully mastered by colin oood,and amazing artwork by nomadicortex complete this wonderfull piece of art by giving its buyer a complete package which was put together very well by Devils Mind Records,an established record label from the north pole run by kiriyama, who are pumping out awesome forest sounds for the past 7 years now and are currently doing an excellent job of promoting quality psychedelic sounds and putting their artists and art before anything else.
A must have for all the freaks who like their dark psychedelic sound with a bit of colour and magic.

Inner Soul
Really intense atmospheric start to the album, exerts lots of power, super clean kick and bass. Very nice pads and a really nice driving sound. This is a great start to this album. This one we can all tell that Silent Horror is not playing around. He means business. Super clean sound, very well produced. The percussion is super tight, all leads are well written and properly effected. This track does not let up. It just builds and builds and builds leading us in to a state of cosmic bliss.
Twinkled
Nice and airy intro, feel the breathe of the forest in this one. Really heavy kick and bass, very creepy pads and atmospheres. Twinkled is a great name for this track, and the sounds are very high pitched, and unnerving at times. Kind of overwhelming to the faint of listeners. Very nice breaks throughout that tune, super driving sound. Amazing. This one has some very nice elements of other styles of psychedelic trance all throughout it from the leads to the pads / effects. WELL DONE SIR!
Drum Ritual
This is one of my personal favorites off of this album. This one has a very deep menacing vibe to it from the start. Given the proper environment, this track will send people into a psychedelic mental frenzy. This album is not for the faint of heart. The first couple minutes are really kind of overwhelming but then some very calming nice pads and melodic leads come in to the sound field to lighten the mood a little, but that's quickly led astray by the second half of the tune. Frantic tune. A+
Of None But It
THIS IS MY FAVORITE. I would actually love to remix this project (hehehe!) Really abstract patterns all throughout. There's something extremely fascinating about this track. I'd have to say it's one of my favorite released tracks right now. The alternating kick and bass from the woodsy knocky style terminator-eque sound to the down right menacing silent horror classic vibe. The pads are super trippy, ascending and descending all around the sonic environment that was created. This one will make you super dizzy. Sectio Aurea eat your heart out! Please more more more like this!! I find it highly interesting that this one grabs such a speed bpm freak like myself so much, but i love it! A+++ Thanks for this monsterpiece!
Black Orb
All i can say is, HOLY ATMOSPHERES BATMAN!! I've come to the conclusion that silent horror has some of the biggest kicks in the game. Some tree rattling massive boommmm. With driving percussion, really crawly pads that breathe with the pulse of the song, you are guaranteed to be thrown into a state of sonic bliss. The leads all throughout are super edgy and kind of intense in your face, but it's mixed soooo well, that it's pleasing to your ears. I would sum this up as "controlled chaos".
Higher Access
I so love how Silent Horror starts off his tracks with some crazy ass textured atmosphere that leaves you in limbo of how to feel, whether the tune is going to be completely bonkers, or just nice and deep. This one is BONKERS. Super menacing leads, kick and bass. The percussion not so present in this tune, really allows for everything to breathe nice. Lots of air in this track. Super sonic 3d environment will stimulate music you can see and taste. 5.1 anybody?! Thank you Jigar!!
Journey
This is just that, one intense psychoactive journey through abysmal swamis and high tides. This track flows like water to me. Something very interesting about this song is the emotional content in which SH puts in to this tune. You can tell that this guy has a very very deep brain, and some interesting feelings towards what a journey is. Thank you for this journey!!! Everything is on point in this tune. A+
Deja Vu
Has this happened before? I feel like i've been here before. Oh, wait, it's just a sonic frenzy!! I have been here before, as SH continues to take us on this really deep wild ride through time and space! The leads in this one are pretty constant and driving, it kind of trances you out after a bit. Very metallic vibe to this. Perhaps the deja vu he had was in some abandoned steel mill with rusty blades and a hunger for scraping metal on metal. Nothing too over powering about the highs in this tune. Intense!
The Calling
What an AMAZING way to end this album. I think it takes GUTS to finish an album with a 10 minute track with over 5 minutes of ambience. I wish more artists would do this. Really deep introspective start, and such a positive melodic, emotional heart felt way to end this release. Thank you so much for this journey through your Seance, Silent Horror.
Summary :
Jigar / Silent Horror does it again. I was looking for something truly remarkable for the second album, and it was delivered! The mixing is really really on point throughout the entire release. Very balanced everything. Master a bit hot, but overall that's not a bad thing for this kind of style. Thank you so much to Silent Horror, Alex @ Devils Mind, Colin for mastering, and everybody else involved in making this release happen. Excellent album. "The Calling" is masterpiecie, I think that Lustmord would be pleased with this haunting dark ambiences...

One of those few cd's that gets stuck in my player for a long time.
u really nailed it with The Calling... and not to forget.. the entire album has been one hell of a ride! The artwork too is really nice.. Really sums up the feel of the album
