Some major artists (mostly full-on) turned to progressive over the last years. Some started their proggy side-projects, which are maybe less 'attractive' by them.. Anway serious music was born thanks to this turn!
These guys come with lots of skills & talent. Most of the times they're quite sick from what they've done and seek for a change. I support it, that's what called art imo. Part of it is the constant search i guess.

This topic is for all artists you've ever thought they can reinvent themselfs in other way, other style. Call it prog, minimal, dark never mind. Just write down the one you'd want and why. Imagine, maybe you will make some artist to join a revolution? Getting out of his box abit and make a right desicion for him? I always like to hear new special sounds man

Mine for today is Space cat. I think Avi has a lot to express in the prog field.
Astrix too (he already showed he knows to do good progressive either)

It should not become to another full-on&prog topic guys! U can pick names also from the opposite direction if u like (to all full-on/dark/anything else lovers around

T.D.R i have to disagree with you, Astrix prog track sounds like full on minus 10 pbm. But still his new single is good.

Also i like the side project of ananda shake - D fusion.

A few names that come to my mind right now:

Ace Ventura - After his quite big success with the psysex project, he has become one of the leading Psy-Prog Artists, with great tunes released hits on every label that covers this genre.

Wrecked Machines - I only know the "Subtle" Track on the New Order Compilation, a great Electro Prog Trance Fusion!

Actually it came up to me when i heard 'Coolio' by him (2004). It has very good PROGRESSIVE flow.
From 1 track i heard, D-fusion sounds interesting i agree           "From bitter searching of the heart

I toltally agrre with Tasos.

Take for instance the track "Just In Time' (New Order). It's a full-on track, qith lower BPMs.
In that same Astrix style.

For sure Andromeda twisted things a bit imo ,
Freq is very good , dunno with all the discussion going on and such ,the fact is that i turned to prog again.
Went to see(hear) LaBazz (Paste) and those early guys really know what they're doing.

Guys, all the names u've written are good..but the meaning was - artists who DON'T create prog (it can be other genere) and you'd want them to, in some kind of dream

Would be cool if artists from Ultimae Records explored purely progressive sounds. Aes Dana already does it to some extent. Cell, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Solar Fields, HUVA network (got some amazing progressive tracks),Scann-Tec....

pretty much everyone on http://www.ultimae.com/en/composers/index.html

Also this CD on Froggle Records:
http://www.saikosounds.com/japanese/display_release.asp?id=3562

from 2003 but still some of the best twisted psychedelic progressive out there. Would be nice to hear more coming from that side.

@ Nomad Moon : Have you heard Logic Bomb - Normalised?
One of the best chill/prog tracks ever created.
its on
