Hi freaks
Just started a thread to share some good tips and tricks for Access synths...
I'm quite new to these though, so i cannot really share somethin ^^
Also, do u guys know how to do a clean gliding bassline with
the virus ? I mean, making this kind of gliding bass notes is pretty easy for me with Vanguard or Albino, but with the Ti i dunno, it's weird...(which mono mode, portamento settings, piano roll writing...)

i try to set up multis right now..so to make an almost whole track in the TI and save the single patches to one multi..make sure you craeate all the singles with the arpeggio in hold mode(easier)..for being independent from midi triggering single midi regions..quite difficult for me so far..just to use arpeggios..especialli for melodies and stuff like that..but maybe it will still work..maybe..nice thing..you even don`t have to play your sequencer..just route the VC to a miditrack and start playing..will do it in live..so that i`m able to drop some other stuff in realtime..
really basic my settings right now with this method..but think it will work quite nice once it s set up correctly..

top virus tips:
- filter routing is the key to goodness. experiment with different setups!
- filter saturation is best left very minimal (e.g. small amounts on 'soft' setting etc.) or very extreme (e.g. the 'shaper' setting)
- you can change the FM mode in the main edit menu... audition the different modes & see how drastically they affect the sound!
- the virus delay is great. the reverb is fucking fantastic, imho. use it!
- use your virus as an effects processor... either simple patching as with a hardware reverb, or more complicated stuff.
- for the more complicated stuff, experiment with input modes. you can set it up so external signals trigger a filter envelope, for example. try processing drum loops this way (with distortion & envelope following filtering) for amazing sounds.
i have written a patch which uses external signals and delay times so that you can use a microphone like a light sabre

it's for Virus C, and i can't figure out how to batch export presets...
i am slowly filling banks A & B with my own presets. once they are all done i will dump them all & make them freely available

a great tip for robotic talky leads or arps :
- choose a lead sound you like (better with saw)
- go in the filter section and put bandpass filters in serial mode with cutoff value near 60
- choose "rate reduction" saturation type and level it slightly
- put some reverb and delay, turn slighty the two cutoff knobs together, in a range between 40 and 80 (approx.)
you're done. You can also modulate the cutoffs with LFOs for automated "talking"

Whatever you do, don't get your Virus circuit bent.
Mine now only produces the most incredible and unique sounds. As a consequence I've made so much cash and I get flown all over the world to perform..
I'm scared of flying, it's awful.

read virus tutorial by howard scarr.. it can be downloaded on their webpage. its gooood just make sure you skip the section where he goes into how you make flute and horn sounds
