Short Introduction:

Iboga is the famous Prog Trance Record, which raises its fame a long with their releases. They have been releasing great material, by more then great artists like Son Kite, FreQ, Antix, Beat Bizarre, between others… they have a very fresh style, with some nice groove, and also deep tunes… I don’t consider my self as a good Prog knower, but I’ll try my best…

Through the tracks:

Track #1:

* Perfect Stranger – What’s The Line-Up (8:57)

Perfect Stranger is Yuli Fershtat, also well known under the guise of BLT. Very smooth beginning… I loved the tunes the sounds like people clapping their hands, mixed with a fresh bass-line, some groove tunes on it. The bass-line changes its tone, getting more groove minute by minute… very nice work… some guitar sounds, there is a variety of psy, acid-tripping sounds… and more groove… nice!! The track just leads u to dance…

Track #2:

* Son Kite – Catch (8:13)

I just love these Swedish guys… they were one of the first Prog acts I’ve heard. Their job is very fresh, with nice melodies, a continuous bass-line, which goes on and on. I liked in middle of the track, a very up-lifting sound, that is followed by some loud frequency sounds, and it just normalizes again… veeeeeery prog, very good…

Track #3:

Ace Ventura – Cardiac Arrest (7:35)

Ace Ventura is the Prog solo project of Yoni Oshrat from Psysex… it’s a very modern work, has a little bit of Psysex in it, combined with a different marvelous bass-line, some deep fresh sounds, and that very known groovyness… very nice track, IMO, the album’s best one… I found it very relaxing, very up-lifting, some nice high sounds, the sweeps into the track, and raises its level… giving the track originality. At the ending, a nice, deep sound, just to finalize a great work...

Track #4:

* Frogacult – Bye She Said (10:39)

Mikkel Calum and Casper Datai are theese great, very known producers from Iboga… they make a original work, very similar to their other releases… The track has a deep and strong bass-line, with some vinyl mixing scratches, a very nice melody follows the bass-line all they way, a very nice track, makes u move even if u don’t feel like it... but just by listening to it, u want to see what will happen next... very good track!!!!!

Track #5:

* Liquid Soul – Go Reality (8:30)

Starts very high, than some percussion sounds, that motivates you to check out the promising bass-line, just moving u around... and it starts... very fresh, very deep, up-lifting bass-line, followed by tripping sounds... very deep bass-line, some vocals that comes along with the rhythms, the Highs start than, very high in fact, that makes your head spin, driving u crazy... than, it normalizes, getting back to the nice melody it once was... master of piece...

Track #6:

* Flowjob – Wadley (9:29)

Very quiet, fresh beginning, the leads u to the beat... some mind-tripping tunes, motivating u to the next turn... many psychedelic sounds, lots of harmony in it! I found it bit repetitive, but it’s a good job. It’s a more smooth track, more quiet, as said before! Very relaxing one...

Track #7:

* Reefer Decree – Gone For Good (6:54)

Nice worm-up... leads u to start thinking how good it gets... some deep delirious sounds, followed by that very expected bass-line... Some groove in it, and a few noises that reminded me Video Games, I’m not sure which, but it did... than it stops, and raises a good smooth sounds, very tripping one... very good job!!

Track #8:

* Luna Spice – Eclipsed’ay (7:45)

A very spooky voice start the track, right before the bass-line kicks in to it... very cool trick, nice percussion sets, and a marvelous energy in it... very up-lifting one! The bass-line is very unique, and motivates u to dance, like if nobody is watching. Great sound, very fresh, cool, and modern... the voice that appear is very nice also, a deep melody under it, say that the energy in a Eclipse, there is nothng like that... nice!! There isn’t actually!!

Short Overall Review:

I liked the hole album, as if some tracks complete others... in rhythms, style, and happiness... Speaking in grades, I would give MODEST 8!!! I’ll start to give for attention to Prog, after listening to this master of piece...

Favorites:

2, 3(!!!), 4(!!!), 5(!!!) and 8!!

Till the next one folks...
Keep your spirit elevated...

Good review to a great compilation. However, may I point out that track 3 is not the original? The original was on Set:4, this is a remix by Zen Mechanics. Anyway, great compilation.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

Great proggy for the summer indeed...

favlist-

Yuli's opener is one of his best,
a track which will see some remixes very soon....
Son kite here with a real goa feel,something quite fresh and not in their usual style(not that was anything wrong with it ).
Go Reality is indeed amongst the top Liquid soul tracks...a good choice and a taste from alot to come.

oh and good work on track 3 Zenski

Danke Schatski 8)

I really dig this CD...very diverse and high-quality from start to finish, the track order is a bit odd though... My faves: Perfect Stranger (his best sofar IMO, keep it up Yulmeister!), Frogacult and Luna spice!
Respec Emel and Banok!

Listened to this some more. All tracks are great, but standouts for me are: 2,4,5,6,8
Special mention to Luna Spice for another great funky and deep track. And as it said in the booklet, they produced a great album @ Sub machine records called 'Reflexion'. If you don't have that one and like the track that's on here, go get that album instantly. It's really worth your money!           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

I'm itching to hear it!

Gimmegimmegimme!

Calming down now...           Within this timeless gathering,
a shining light does dance,
lost from conscious memory,
but visible in trance!
