The 14th is a sunday, and that day will be the start of a 6 week run of a weekly sunday event i'm involved with seperate from 28thday called Church; this event will be taking place at Love on west 8th and mcDougal, and will feature among other people Haj, who played and helped organize the breaks areas at the two events 28thday did at grandspace last year. 1. we threw at least 3 free outdoors in the summers prior to our nye event; all of those featured out of state artists that we paid for ourselves out of pocket... not to mention the free park party we did after GMSF this year, again with an out of town artist. so if you came to those, you owe us.
2. we lost our shirts on that NYE event... and it didn't get shut down till 4am, which means the majority of the event took place. So i don't know how much owing could possibly have taken place there.
3. If you feel like we ripped you off on NYC, then don't come out to this. The response we got from the majority of the psyscene after NYE made and still makes me want to get the fuck out of this scene. There were two areas at the NYE party; one with psytrance, and one with breaks... the breaks people were all like "oh dude, that sucks you got shut down, we're so sorry. The man sucks." The psytrance people? "oh man, why'd you rip us off like that? give us our money back!" We don't owe you shit.
4. mp666: if you think we owe you one, don't come out to our events. In fact, email me your pic so I can help you with that decision. |

In another post I recall Skeeve saying people came to his HOUSE after the party demanding their money back.... that considered, I think its understandable for Theo to react to your subtle "joke" in the manner that he did. He takes his work seriously, and I dont think anyone was more devastated than him by the NYE party's unexpected shut-down.
We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love... and then we return home. |

Would love to go... just moved to NY from LA and am trying to figure out how to get to Kaiser Park without spending two hours on three buses to go 13 miles!!! I am in midtown Manhattan - anyone want to share a cab or can offer a ride? PM me please! |
