Hi all, well everyone has been talking about the bad mp3 situation with sales. Well im gonna try something different and i now have 2 tracks available for paid download. The trax are 2 euro each and are at 256k bitrate. This website usees a system called paypal which is really easy to sign up for and use, much easier than i expected to be honest! The website is

...go to the music section and do a search for sensient, or here are the direct links for each track...
Ultrasonique - this is a dark, deep and techy track with weird noises!
http://payloadz.com/go/sip?id=55704
Life Cycles - a smooth minimal track with uplifting undertones.

So please check it out and come back at me with any ideas or problems you have. If it goes ok i will keep putting new tracks up. Cheers!

good idea sensient! do something about the situation instead of whining about it.
however, 2 euros seems a bit much for each track, i read an interview with laureth where he talked about selling tracks online for 99 cents, that seems more reasonable.

thanx for feedback, most of the other trax on there are around this price, perhaps a bit less...but they are almost aways at a lower bitrate than mine. Ive made mine 256k (quite high) so people could play it out if they need. Perhaps i can look into haveing 2 versions at different price for different bitrates...

I don't know really.
ok, since you are my friend and all, i'd have no problem paying for your tracks like this.
i know im way out here, but i always thought that music in digital formats like this was a bit wrong.
There are though. other formats than mp3 you should try out, same size but huge difference in quality?
like ogg....
256 kbps is enough i think. . but it should not be less... no way .
the future is here in 5 seconds, and this will be the future i think.
Im a big music lover, and i pay for my music, so i don't have a problem with it ... but i think that most people don't (morally wrong) care about paying for it.
it's in a digital format, it's on the internet ,,, and to everybody , everything , anywhere , it's on the internet - it's free.
people have that attitude... unfortunately.

Currently just making some sounds. do you need any? |

@sensient
tim, this is a great idea!
you are setting trends, i hope this will gonna work for you.
you can realy believe that everyone who will download your tracks there, is a real lover of your work, because the internetusers have the decision between paying the track or downloading per filesharing |

@profane...nope no copy protection. I thought of this and its true, once one person buys it its quite possible for the tracks to be spread over the web for free. But in the end it just comes down to a moral desicion for the buyer...but maybe this method makes the decision lean a bit more to the right one

Ok, I was just curious. And I'm convinced that either way, the traders/mp3-mafia etc. will find a way to avoid any kind of protection anyways.
But thumbs up, as this is a great way to directly support the artists. Shame I don't have my VISA anymore.
