They have learned it all in the old portuguese section of this forum!
The portuguese trance djs created this innovative kind of self-promotion, so you should give them credits for that.

Each post should include an IP address in it, showing what IP posted which reply.. and users with matching IP addresses will most likey be the same person. (not all the time, but 90% of it)...

Unless that person buy's tons of routers and a couple of differnet PC's just to self promote himself as 4 different peoples.. lol.. that would be lame..           "VA - REWIRED" OUT NOW !! (techtrance invasion) ---> http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/86303/forum/9

I’m sure the admins and moderators can see the IP’s of the users, and I certainly don’t want my IP-address made visible for the public. And what would the use be? It is possible to hide your real IP-address if you really want to.           DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase

Let's say that:
A: You really don't need to know the IP adress to see stuff like similar writing style, or same English mistakes.
Also when somebody let's say promotes an album and then you see 5 consequent posts with brand new users with minimum post counter it's immidately roses a brow or 2. And when you check those specific users for previous posts you see that his only posts are dealing with promoting that particular than you easily get the image.
B: It is not against the guidelines, it's just plain lame.
IMHO offcourse.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

Because of some dynamic IPs this stuff will always happens. There's no 100% effective way to stop it.

However, I'm always tunned on the users IPs in my foruns (even when it's dynamic sometimes they're look very similar) and when I suspect something is going on, and (when I have time) I also use some other interesting tools like (there are lots like this one, and even better ):

Whenever I find a user doing this, I expose them to the public, just to show the other users who they're dealing with. It's not against the guidelines to do that.

Indeed, KakoOlalaJwal.

But I wouldn't worry much about their music, ya know
If the person ends up doing that, it probably doesn't worth it.

I think the best thing would be to listen to their music and then if you like it you buy it if not don't because you really can never say. For instance even in psyshop i mean the reviews are always yeah these artists are morning full on and dancefloor killers and bla bla bla and then you hear the album and you get dissapointed cause it's not what you are expecting! So i'd say the music speaks by itself no need for a lot of yeah this album is MAD, TWISTED yeah KILLER man or this is Full on man it rocks you know these terms do not impress me at all! Only the music impress me and then i respect the artist bigtime!

These texts do very often come directly from the promo-papers sent with the promo-records..

It's not psyshop crew point of view...
So just listen to the samples and make your own opinion..           .

Some people may look at it as clever and others....well, pathetic!! Me? As Manu said "asked my soul?" and I wouldn't do it.......

Agree with Spliffnik also....           assumption is the mother of all fuckups.

The main problem is not that people use multiple nicknames in order to promote themself BUT that they use multiple nicknames in order to insult and bash the others because of the anonymity (that they think) that the internet provides them...           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!
