Yep... this is a very usual act in all forums in all sections around the globe... Everyone is doing it and u know what is funny...? That this ppl sometimes thing that they are unnoticable 
Moderators can track ip address. This can tell a moderator whether a post came from the same place or not... I know that there are different users, that post from the same pc, i know that its the same like asking a friend to post at your topic and all, but at the end noone can do anything about it... Only the moderators...
And for me the best way, is to make these users look funny in front of the others... if a moderator in a specific section realize that a user is doing it, on and on, then expose him / her
Anyways, it is a matter that no-one can do much about it, just a few things from the moderatos side and thats all...

guy cohen,
this thread wasnt opened in order to "do something" about it. supermods have their ways if needed to do what they need.
i am just interested in people's opinion regarding this thing, notice that i never even gave my opinion on it.

But good luck if that's how they feel to do in fact they do not impress with the promotion they can only impress if it's good music...so cut the crap and let the music talk!

I really dont care. I find no problem in that since it's a free world and they only post in the forum. People have the option to ignore it 
What I on the other hand see as a huge annoyance are all the labels in this forum that spam every single person in here with their endless e-mails about their new kilaaaar release and their "amazing" parties. I for one am so sick and tired of the spam - notice NO info apart from a never used e-mail adress on my profile so I wonder where they get my real e-mail address from? Do the mods have an answer to that?
I dont care if Infected are playing in Brazil!
I would love those spam mails to stop. Well god thank for spamfilters |

I agree with you mate totally especially in our scene were the most important thing is music not promotion! If the music is good it will talk by itself no need to self promote yourself so you look like some f...... great artist coming from the sky to save us and then you hear the music and it's not at all what is being promoted!

ok, these examples some of you are giving are not what is meant by this topic at all...
there is nothing wrong with self promotion when the user promotes theirselves openly or another user from their affiliation (label,friends,etc) does.
what im talking about are cases where someone makes an enitrely new "fake" user that is only used for one purpose: bumping the thread up with positive words in order to keep the info at eye level for the rest of the forum.

Yeah I feel its bad.. asked my soul ? it wouldnt ever think about doing it.. it is such a shame.
exceptions been ,if someone is accused of somethng which he/she thinks is not true then he/she might try creating another nick to save their ass..(hehe i dont do this either ) but thats a diferent case and can be forgiven.. but self-appreciation by multiple ids is a act of shame.

I have seen this a lot in the top ten section and its so awfully childish and embarassing. Im not pointing any fingers but man some tracks are bad but u have users commenting its 'killer'! etc, i know its a matter of taste but hmm i see a trend on this like what surrender says. And worst, the track aint even released and this user has very low posts. Well shame on the artists who does this.. |

What you are saying does not at all agree with me, i am not at all promoting myself as you can see when i put the tracks for other users to listen to i only wrote "A couple of Tracks" as a title i did not in any way promote my tracks i only wanted an opinion from my friends on Isra Trance, also the music i am making are experiments and they are not commercial they are morning and they are in the very first stages of psychedelic trance so they are not good enough and in fact i said so in the forum even after you gave a really shitty opinion on it i had agreed because i know that they aren't so good! So please man get real,grow up and try and communicate some good vibes sometimes maybe try and make an effort ok...

I hope (like Surrender I assume) and I think that these people have read this thread.. and will think about it for 5 minutes (at least..) ..
Having said that.. I am now worried about their Music... Because some might have spent even more time for this hidden self-promotion than working in the studio..
