H Θεσσαλονίκη θα έχει την χαρά να υποδεχτεί σε μια αποκλειστική πανευρωπαϊκή εμφάνιση για το 2010 τουs Son Kite και MInilogue. Οι Son Kite έχουν ιστορία που χάνεται πίσω στην δεκαετία των 90’s όταν τα δυο μελή της μπάντας, Sebastian Mullaert και Marcus Henriksson δυο μουσικοί με μεγάλη διαδρομή και μουσική παιδια βρεθήκαν σε ένα πάρτι όπου και πραγματοποιήθηκε η πρώτη γνωριμία..Μια γνωριμία η όποια συνδύασε τις μουσικές γνώσεις του Sebastian Mullaert πάνω στην κλασσική μουσικη,ο οποίος δίδασκε ακόμα και βιολί και το αδιαμφισβήτητο club experience του Marcus. Οι δυο τους έγιναν πολύ γνωστοι στην ηλεκτρονική μουσική σαν Son-kite και Trimatic αφηνοντας αφωνη την υφηλιο με το πρωτοποριακο live performance τους το όποιο εχει παιχτει σε όλα τα μηκη και πλατη της υδρογειου με κορυφαια στιγμη την εμφανιση τους σε ένα Mall στην Ιαπωνια, πλανα από το όποιο μεγαλωσανε γενιες οπαδων της ηλεκτρονικης σκηνης. Όπως γίνεται με πολλούς μεγάλους καλλιτέχνες έτσι και με τους Sebastian Mullaert και Marcus Henriksson η αγάπη για την μουσική και η αναζήτηση για το καινούργιο τους οδήγησαν στην δημιουργία ενός νέου project, τους Minilogue. Ένα project το όποιο αν μη τι άλλο συμμετέχει στη ιστορική και αγαπημένη στο κοινό της πόλης Cocoon στην πολύ ποιοτική Wagon Repair και στην Traum.
Η πρωτη τους δουλεία το 2008 με τίτλο “Animals” οδήγησε και πάλι την ΝΟΝ τότε στο να κάνει το αυτονόητο. Να κάνει και πάλι τις συστάσεις με το κοινό της πόλης. Δεν θα ξεχάσουμε ποτέ εκείνο το live όσα χρόνια και να περάσουν σαν team καθώς λίγες φορές μπαίνεις σε ένα club και έχεις την ευκαιρία να ακούσεις κάτι τόσο ποιοτικο,τοσο πρωτότυπο. Οι ίδιοι δήλωσαν ενθουσιασμένοι τόσο που επιστρέφουν και πάλι και αυτή τη φορά με μία μόνο εμφάνιση σε όλη την Ευρώπη για το 2010 σαν Son Kite. Κάτι που τιμά την πόλη μας . Και δεν σταματούν εδώ μιας και για πρώτη φορά στη Θεσσαλονίκη θα αναλάβουν το μουσικό soundtrack όλης σχεδόν της βραδιάς παρουσιάζοντας και το πρότζεκτ Minilogue ! Mε άλλα λόγια ένα μουσικό ταξίδι το οποίο θα διαρκέσει λίγο πολύ 8 ώρες... Οπότε για του λάτρεις της καλής ηλεκτρονικής μουσικης,ο δρόμος το βράδυ του Σαββάτου οδηγεί στο Club Decadence και σε μια μουσική καινοτομία .

one word they change their style finaly..but this is not mean sometrhing ..for sure the music is being brogressing and will be..i watch son kite since1996...i have to say only one word.....they are masters ,musicians and top...they are presenting the original live..for sure theie is plessure to see live from them....good luck

Perfect...i din't have the chance to listen them live since Samothraki 2002 and this is a long very long time..i am older since then,150 km away from Salonica but still hungry enough to feed my ears with proggy sounds such quality,so i can't wait till Saturday...Will be a great night and live,hopefully with a liitle space to move with the music.....

sure will be a dreamy live and then a dj set from sebastian!!
however I want to inform you that this event has nothing to do with progressive trance or trance anyway.. if you don't like minilogue you will get dissapointed since they play similar music as son kite also (everyone who was at ozora 2009 knows what I mean ). I mention this because I don't want to see here after the party that son kite played crappy music and what was that or they sold our scene and other crap...
of course it will be a high quality tech house/techno performance filled with surreal cinematic grooves that minilogue guys know better

good to mention that Tasos but it is allready known that the music is more tech house/techo orienteted.following the trends of the times Son Kite will provide a super live show...no matter at all,only quality music matters...

of course man but many people perhaps will expect to listen on air or other big hits from colours album.. and from personal experience greek crowd react not with the best ways to such changes.. that's why I mention this because I don't want people to go there expecting to listen trance and then spread bad vibes saying " I payed 20 euros and they didn't play trance" as always happens when such kind of artists come to play in Greece.. This event is not refering to psy trance crowd at all and everyone who will be there and expect to listen music up to 130 bmp should respect it.
As for trends minilogue project is fokused on minimal techno/tech house before that sound become so popular
So when one sees the poster, he suppposes that Son kite will perform live (as it is indicated in the poster), playing their doscography which is definitely psy progressive trance.
So stop saying that '''however I want to inform you that this event has nothing to do with progressive trance or trance anyway..''' and '''mention this because I don't want to see here after the party that son kite played crappy music'''.
If you receive kraksimo, it will be fair, cause you have filled thessaloniki with the above-mentioned posters...(SON KITE LIVE)

hey ritual om, I didn't say all this just from my mind. At Ozora they performed as Son Kite but their new style is deeply inspired from Minilogue.
As for yesterday Seb played an unbelievable berlin style tech house/techno set and then Son Kite live played some classics (no Colours tracks) remixed into more tech house/techno style some Minilogue tracks and some unreleased material on Minilogue's style. Sure some trancey moments but not trance, of course it had very psychedelic feeling Realy enjoyed both live and dj set and the whole party

i think you can easily call their sound progressive trance
it is a whole new perspective and dimension of psychedelic trance , and it is progressive , but without the standard formulas of classic progtrance
it is new , it is different , but it has nothing to do with techno , house , or tech-house
if you listen to the Ozora videos carefully , you can hear, you can feel the dinamics of the music, it is very deep and tribal , and yes maybe minimal , but trance , and it has NOT A SINGLE ELEMENT of the sound of Minilogue , wich is a minimal tech-house club music
after Ozora , many of my disappointed friends told me : this was so bad , so minimal , they were Minilogue and not Son Kite
but people , hey , dont expect Colours sound after 6 years ( ! ) , if we are talking about experimenting, evolving artists who are still show us new dimensions of psychedelic dance music

unfortunately there are no Son Kite partys nowadays, no bootlegs , shit quality youtube materials

Of course it's trance but different, much different than the music released as psychedelic trance nowdays It's trance because it can cause you much easier trance effects than the typical "psy trance". But the main form of their nowdays music is based on techno and tech house which isn't necessery the clubby minimal tech house, as for Ozora they played many tracks that already been released as Minilogue, but as I said it isn't necessery to be strictly club music, it's much more experimental
Totally agree with you about Colours, that's a different era and since they can offer us more then they have to move forward. Maybe their music is not so dancable as used to be but it's much more psychedelic and mind burning

really ? i havent heard a single sample of Minilogue during the set but sometimes i went for beer or talking to friends so maybe i just havent paid that much attantion
by the way im not sayin : " its trance" because " it can cause you psy effects " as you said , im sayin it because the basic dynamics of the music they play has its roots in trance ( progtrance )
as you can see on this video :
this is not house , or techno , or tech-house , this is trance
experimental trance, but has a definitive trance taste
and its driving me mad that they are so silent , no facebook , myspace or homepage news , not a single EP or demo
i read on this forum that some guy talked to Marcus who told him they finished the album 2 years ago
and all i have is a cloudy memory of the Ozora set , and some youtube videos to worship their musical world

Well the current track is Sian - Red Cloud (Minilogue remix) http://www.discogs.com/Sian-Red-Cloud-EP/release/1733853 It's definetely a deep tech track with a trancey approach.. there are plenty of such kind of tunes out there released under the kind of dub techno. After that comes Mr Mustafa, another Minilogue track.. Anyway mostly matters the music and not what kind of it is As for the Son Kite new album yes it was about to be released on BNE recs but that label closed. Perhaps they released the most tracks under the Minilogue project since Marcus said that both projects sound similar
