Hallo,
i am very happy that samothraki is happening again, it's very reassuring that te previous organizers are not part of this one, now about the cops and all, keep in mind that the government has changed after 20 yrs(!!), 2003 was a very bad year for the whole country cause it was the year where all parties and fests got busted, because of the olympics, the previous goverment was frantic about "cleaning" up the place so greece can be a nice, quiet, clean country with no terrorists and bla bla bla so we can have the olympics, i mean they where so crazy with this whole olympic thing that they co-operated with americans and made this whole cleaning up plan. they even put cameras on every single street in the cities! frantic situation! but this is over the olympics happened... so lets party!!!!!!!!!!
big thumbs up to the new organizers, lot's of gutts guys, full support...

The first wave of the reggae - dub - alternative stage is updated on the front page.
Another top live act as well is added on the trance - prog - electronics line up.

i dont know if this party will be done...
it' weird...
but i would like to say that the line up doesnt match with our taste...
would like more dark things... 
and also new artists
but if samothraki 2005 exists, have a nice time...somethin' tells me i won't come...

personally im too in more dark things...and when i say dar i really mean dark..whatever if u really want dark things come with us in M`era Luna or castle party ...but u know what??on august we will be there in samothraki gathering nianianiaa ;pppppppppp
ooh as the voices that tell u wont come..dont listen to them ...be aware of THE DARK SIDE hehehe
Congratz to the organisation...nice thought of awaking the good energy of samothraki once again...as for the dark energy this exist only in the dead minds of some ppl here..

i am a hand teller too u know. i see bars within your future . maybe u should think more clearly to the subject samothraki and what is going on with that blessed island and the party . year over the year the cops are taking over it and not only that . there are cops in kavala city even before u go to samo8raki |

My opinion.The fest is not only a psychedelic fest. There are different styles of music and many artists that don't belong to psy-trance. So i think that this is happening ,of course firstly for music lovers pleasure, and secondly for the police that here in greece connects psy-trance parties with drug use and drug dealing.So the name of the previous "Samothraki dance fest" has changed to "samothraki gathering" in order to break the connection between this one to the previous ones.I don't understand why some members of this forum are so pissed off about this fest.Why aren't they pissed off with "nestorio river parti - rock wave festival" that are also heppening in greece? is this a fight of promoters? Can't they understand that anykind of festival is good and promotes music and art in general? |
