once upon a time i decided to make some new tune, made some groovy bassline, picked up some nice kick - and here we go the groove is ready. while my hi-fi stereo was turned the sound was amazing then i putted my sony mdr headphones and what i heard? the sound was disgusting, kick exploded, bassline was very compressed and sounded like shit. after that i tweaked some knobs, equlaized some tunnings and disconnected headphones plug and what i hear again...? same story but now on speakers! tried to fix this, equalizers, volumes, compressors, enchancers and so on... after one hour still no good results!
end of story, gonna cry now, donate me some monitors (plus soundcard), thanks!
that's all falks!

that's what happens when you don't have flat sound. u think it sounds ultra cool on the speakers, but than you hear it on HP or on someone's monitors (or worse, at a party) and than you hear how it REALLY sounds. happened to me quite a bit.           "We Do Not Allways See Things As They Are. Programs won't help here. The person needs to get himself monitors.

prosect, man!

this is so basic: take your butt to a friend with normal FLAT monitors, EQ, compress, limit etc. - do your mastering there, and these trouble won't hurt u again.
the "hi-fi" is not flat.
so don't waste your time.
n.b. if u don't have friends with flat monitors, then go to a studio, pay for the mastering, and let the professional do it there.
bom.

good SC is more important than monitors...
if you have a nice hifi a good Sound Card will give you good sound.. If you have the best monitors in the world and use SB the sound will be bad..
the Sound is passed through the SC before it passes the monitors so let's say Pulsar 3
on regular Sony mini stereo.. would give you a great sound.. Monitors are not that critical..

I think monitors r very important. trouble is that monitors even up to 6000-7000 nis do not reflect well the low freqs. you need a monitor sub for that. 2nd prob.: someties with monitor sub your bassline sounds great to you, but will not sound as thick when you hear it in various sound systems...
what to do?
(not to expect a midi miliz sound of bass with a tannoy reveal monitors.. )           *** music will expand your mind... ***
