This is the first real big bang of the year..... After a long break S-Range returns with this pearl of morning trance. Tracks like "the one" or "Space" will definatley rock our open air parties this summer... The production is so clear and phatt that it is just pure joy to listen to it. The last album 2001 was a nice morning-/ daydream, and was very relaxed. Now Anthony reached a new level of production. Its still smooth and sexy but much more powerfull and deeper than the releases i knew so far. It´s up to you where and when you want to use this tracks cause they are so timeless that they are usefull at any time.....
Best track in my opinion is "The one" with funny noises´, tricky acidbleeps and blirps and a brilliant melodyhook.
For me one of the best albums this year so far and probably one of the cds of the year at all....

Ok, i really like this album... its fun to say that and really mean it too..... the album starts to develop at track 2, track 1 is more of an intro, nice intelligent music here, no doubt much thought was placed into each sample, each sound. i know that i like this one cause what happens to me as i listen in my car (ideal listening place for me) as i drive about 45 min to work and back every day, that i do, since i completely "spaced out". that way i know the music "works"... i espicially like the samples in track 4, it even sounded like peter and the wolf to me for a second. great album, nice vibes and hopes that everyone will be enchanted as i was.           "On the other hand, you have different fingers."

Nothing special really.

I am sure the world record for sci fi samples was broken while making this cd.

the housy touches don't really work and neither do the GMS basslines on top of the Goa melodies.

The sound quality is superb but other then that I can't really point out anything that makes this release different from anything else I've heard in the past.

Try to give it a listen yourself somehow. You know how subjective these things can be.

2 and 8 are OK tracks the rest are just too much of a mix of influences.           Both teams played hard

Second album from S>Range (not S-range). Before this album I didn't like S>Range and I didn’t enjoy his last album 2001 very much, thought it was quite boring and low quality. But after hearing S>Range live in December where he played these new tracks I changed my mind. This is a very melodic album, some mixture between 2001 and melodic/morning trance. At the same time it's pretty full on in its style.

Ten 4 begins directly with a 'pling-plong' melody with a full on bassline. Very uplifting. The One is darker, but kind of the same style. Very good. Freak Out sounds a bit like Human Blue, nothing special to say about it. Test Tones is the highlight on the cd. A lot of space-samples used, including ‘the five tones’ from movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind. At the end this track sounds a bit old school, very nice. Space is also sort of Human Blue style. First half of the track is pretty calm, but second half is pretty cheesy with its kind of hoover-sounds. Ihla Bela (whatever that means) is a slower track, which makes it a bit boring. Star Alliance is again a very good track. Very uplifting. Dimension Jump is kind of cheesy, but not bad. It ends this album with a nice anthem.

Overall a very uplifting and melodic album, which hopefully can help bring more melodies to the psytrance scene. The whole album is very Space oriented (surprised?) - A lot of samples and spacey sounds. Not overused samples though, they fit in well. Best tracks would have to be 1, 2, 4(!) and 7. If you like Human Blue's last album or morning/melodic trance, buy this one. But don’t compare it with 2001 because Space is a lot better, especially the production quality which is great. I also want to recommend the S>Range track on 'Ease Division' compilation, which is the best track on that comp. Hope for more from S>Range in the future. Overall rating 7/10.           Ut ameris, amabilis esto.

for the record, "Ilha Bela" is the name of an island in the coast of Brazil.

Ilha = portuguese for "island"
Bela = portuguese for "beautiful, stunning"

great disc btw, been on my cd player for a while.           the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist....

Couldn't disagree more...

big disappointment for me, this is the cheesiest CD to come out in ages, Anthony's lost a a big fan in me.           Within this timeless gathering,
a shining light does dance,
lost from conscious memory,
but visible in trance!

Can't help smiling when I'm listening to this... just what the scene needs... pure, unstoppable in-your-face happiness without being cheesy or dull... don't be too uptight or serious to enjoy this.. it doesn't hurt to get your playfull side on the loose once in a while

For me this cd is all about having PHUN and sharing good vibes! Good work Anthony... u know what u like.

i miss a lot 2001 ..........
space really dissapointed me...........
where 2001 had a fresh powerfull progressive sound , space is just a mixture of old s>range, old trance (thoses acid sounds..........) and some hipe influences (like someone said, the rolling bassline ,and the housy touches) ....nothing new in this cd
i miss a lot those huge powerfull morning anthems such as morning star or 2001..........

really disspointed .............but i still like dimension jump wich is pretty nice imo but i don't understande the rest of the cd
