i haven't listend to your track (slow connection) yet but i'm sure you did a good job on the production. you still owe me some tracks to listen into.... finished or not finished, i prefer it over mp3 format; i hate 192kps quality

keep going like this           www.frakasoundrecords.com

Cheers fredini thanks for your comments! What is the kind of style you like? I know most people on this forum prefer darker stuff..I guess i'm influenced by all the cheese i listen to i need to start listening to harder stuff!

Great track S-Cube!

I really enjoyed the leads and nice tight bassline
Its got a great feel to it. We need more like these!!!

Am off to check your other tracks now! hehe

Good Luck man and Keep at it!           Rather than feeling that you're about to have the rug pulled from under you, let me teach you how to dance on a flying carpet

nice leads nice effects (not the FX but the arrangements you do). the end calls a little killer lead but oh well it's your choice

the kick could be stronger and as i said to the other track i don't like the percursion

keep it up

@ e-motion
thanks for the comments that's exactly the kind of feedback i needed..I'm not happy with the end its still a demo unfinished version..I mix using headphones so its hard to get the kick & bass right..-how can i improve the percussion? do you mean something faster or more groove..           http://www.soundcloud.com/getafixmusic

listened to it through headphones now. Nice to see you working on new tracks! We should definitely make a special fund to get some decent monitoring, because i cant be too sure of the mix only with headphones. It's my main problem, also for producing, 'cos I do it ll through headphones....

It's therefore difficult for me to judge the quality of your mix. I quite like the EQ's and effects you're using, sounds in the right place! (...we should try and make a track together. i'm opening a ftp soon)

you should call your project the

"Mercury Cube"
or does "S-Fall" sound better?           www.frakasoundrecords.com

very nice ideas in there!

i think you need some more percussion, more rhythm! shakers and things to add more drive to the track! you dont need to use the typical percussion sounds.. but something acting as a openhat could be used, also some more playing around with fills and thrills... like double or tripple notes of percussion... some whirls

and some contra leads...some more layering! and maybe frequency modulation, its alwasy nice with a twist at points

some more action and im happy!

also the bass and kick needs to be smoothed out and fixed.. nothing major just that the bass is a little bit loud in the low region, it needs some control..

Thanks New Era Scientist for the suggestions..Like i mentioned i don't have monitors yet so its hard to get the mix perfect on headphones, especially the low end..

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by contra leads & fills n thrills & double-triple notes of percussion..care to elaborate?           http://www.soundcloud.com/getafixmusic

lets elaborate

Contra leads, i mean like contrasting leads, something that blends with the lead you have but covering a different spectrum.. or just reinforces the one you have, like accents here and there...

Fills n thrills is about the drums.
filling in gaps, leaving out hits to create gaps, adding extra hits, using velocity to create tension and cool fills..
this is also what i mean with double and tripple notes of percussion... but of course you have done some of it, but you could work more with it. more rhythmic patterns, more percussion instruments

http://www.music.vt.edu/musicdictionary/textp/Percussioninstruments.html

if you want me to post some links to some really nice drum eductaion ill do it...
some lessons, it will fit anyone.. there is practise for all
