Well, anything that has "Rolling stone" in its title is BS for me

TimeTraveller - I totally agree with you. At first I thought it was a rock top 100, but then I noticed it says "100 best guitarist of all time".

Anyway - Paco, John or Al are better then all of the listed guitarist together.
For me.           http://www.myspace.com/shumamusic

I'm not sure if I know a 100 guitarists, but the problem here is that all lists we make are mostly based on our taste in music.
I love jazz, so my list would consider jazz musicians.

Anyway, some of my favourites would be
Paco De Lucia
John McLaughlin
Al Di Meola
Pat Metheney
Vlatko Stefanovski
Joe Pass
Wes Montogomery
Stanley Jordan
John Abercrombie
Herb Ellis
John Scofield
Charlie Byrd

Cheers
