Very good emulations. Ok not exactly bang on, but the character is there.

And off course they are very cheap, sequencer is there, delay...can't fault them really.

						| all good woodster
any idea if the sliders are midi assignable ? or if they can be reassigned to the touch strip ? that would solve things to a great extent I think.

it's quite ridiculous to put such small sliders to control such a resonant filter.

						| Ok to answer my own question, severely limited MIDI control.
 http://cdn.roland.com/assets/media/pdf/JU-06_MIDI_Imple_e01_W.pdf

Though I have a feeling this could be hacked, the web says that one module can control the other if they are poly chained. Which means there is some kind of control signal protocol they're using that is not MIDI.

						| Can't see it as I'm not on Facebook but if I'm proven incorrect that's cool.

						| Was reading about possible workarounds for the MIDI thing via Sysex, apparently thats how 2 modules talk to one another. Sounds like people are thinking hard in that direction, Im sure something will come up soon.
I'm pleased with my JP-08, it definitely sounds good. I don't actually mind the tiny faders so much, or the lack of MIDI control, its pretty fun to just play around with. The small sliders mean you can almost shape both envelopes, simultaneously, with one hand
. The crossmod is finicky to get right, only thing I can say against the size. . |
