I am Legend
Well so i chanced upon another Will Smith movie and had set expectations quite high since the last one i saw with him in it was "The pursuit of happiness" and it was splendid. Now there is one thing about Hollywood that mesmerizes me , the production value. no matter what the movie story is , no matter who the actors are, the production guys do an awesome job almost always. Imagine Die Hard 4 being made in... well India (that’s where i am from hence the comparison, so back off you dont-divide-us-on-race-region-sympathizers  )
The first twenty minutes went rather slow. He is the lone survivor (who's still human) since almost the rest of the race has turned into sunlight-fearing-dark-place-living-monster-with 200 BPM heart beat rate  because of a cancer cure which went horribly wrong and spread thru the air.
and then you just keep seeing Will all the way going a little mad, trying to find the cure, hunting the monsters for experiments (since he is a "doctor" from the army). He also send out radio signals on all "am" frequencies to find other survivors. And finally one day when a "monster" is gonna kick his ass, one other survivor (woman,ofcourse) saves will's ass and they chill a bit at wills place.
Will find the cure, but by then the monsters’ attack his house cum lab cum hiding place cum everything (thats a lotta cum)
So he puts the girl and her son(yes son) into a bunker and gives them a vial of the antidote and tell them to go away when its morning when the monsters cant attack... and blows up the monsters who have trespassed into his house , and himself with a grenade.
The woman and her son reach Connecticut where other survivors are living near the mountains where the virus cannot live and she gives them the antidote and the rest if history. Hence Will is the Legend.

they went to VERMONT & not CONNECTICUT  ..>! btw ...! n yea it was just abt a decent flick ..! more on the lines of 28 days later but that was much better shoot and made ..!

28 days meets Cast Away.
I waited for almost 2 hours to hear Will Smith "Wilson", but it didn't happen. The religious twist in the end killed the movie, not that it was that good before. Oh and the dog death scene was a bit too much.

haven't seen the movie yet, havent read your spoilers. But I am willing to guess that it's a typical easy big picture perfect on the cinama or on a hangover sunday relaxing with some snacks and J's.

It wasn't named Wilson and he shot it instead but.. seems similar enough to me. |

I didn´t like this one at all... I didn´t have any expentations on it and at first sight I thought "This is going to be one hell of a movie" since I like "post apocalyptic" ones, but the movie just got worse the whole time... Didn´t took long before an bunch of deers and lions showed up on the Island that should have been sealed off over the past 3 years. Even if there was an Zoo on that Island they would have been killed during that 3 year period...
The humans got the "K... Virus?" and started some kinda mutation wich made them unable to go out in daylight but strenght enough to break an lightpole (those used on the side of the roads) and to attack a car so it flips over and turns on the roof...
Bad Bad Bad digital effects... the movie looked like an computergame at several occations...
Wouldn´t give this movie more then 3/10

But I liked the dog "samanta" AKA sam, even more than will smith. I want a German Shepherd like that 
And I didn't like the part that "sam" died  I got more upset cuz of "sam" rather than Will's dead
