There's always those trax that just seemed a perfect combination of sounds and destroy dancefloors globally. What about the track makes it a GREAT one. Not Good, not very good, but GREAT.

*A Night Track*:

I go for the ((Bass)). A rolling bassline grabs my attention. Im not a big fan of big pauses and a dialogue from some movie, but just Short pauses and maybe a funny line or something. And than BOOM again..a couple of reverse kicks, a stretched stringy tune maybe and than back with the pounding. Classic example of a great night track for me right now is 'FROZEN GHOST -FOOL MOON'

Artist - Psychotic Mico / DJ - P_MAC

*A Morning Track*:

A lengthy start with just a hint of whats comin. A sharper bass with tight little kicks or a fatter sound with a thick intro of the bass. A melodic instrument or sample is a must.My preference is a Flute. NOthing beats a sunrise and the lilting notes of a flute. This track needs a vocal sample. Definitely a female vocalist, i just dont connect with a deep male voice . A pause around the 4th minute ..break down the beats , and take it step by step. The female vocals has a moment by itself. If ur really good, u can have a lil tabla sample
Pickin up, pickin up and smooth sailin from than on. 'TRIPTYCH - CELTYCH"

Artist - Protoculture / Silicon Sound.

*A good track*

Listen to Hallucinogen's "LSD". Then listen to the tune you just made. Improve your tune. Repeat this cycle untill you can honestly say that your tune is good.

A few good hints:

1. Don't use the bassline we've heard in 9 thousand 4 hundred and forty-two other tunes.

2. Don't use cheesy druggy samples just because they're about drugs.

3. Use more than one kind of kick in the track.

4. Put more than one hour of work to the composition.

5. More than four keys on the melody doesn't hurn anyone           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

The best recipe is to put a maximum of yourself in the track... Simple as that.           .

dunno know about the recipe for morning tracks
but for night time stormers one thing which is most important is a truely twisted mind

and some acid also helps           At the end there is a DOOR & waiting for you on the other side of that door is either HEAVEN or HELL

Me and my bro are working on some cool morning style psytrance/progressive tracks. We've got one track that's done now, although it requires final mixing. I'll go figure where I can get some space to upload the unmixed track. Maybe some of you would like to hear it and comment on it? Some advice and tips never go unnoticed to me and my brother.

The track is called Dreamscape and features a sample from the movie Nightmare on Elmstreet 3, regarding a theory about dreaming. It's morning style music and lasts for 14:51 in the unmixed version. What can I say? We're a sucker for long songs, the trance can only come when a song is pretty long in our opinion. Well, I'll go figure out where to get some upload space and when I have something we'll put it online. Until then... greetings !!           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

Its sad, but its true
