just watched it in cinema. Imo one of the best german movies ever, a bit extraordinary. Not the usual hollywood shit. It's a really good film for the heart. IMO if you have anyway to see it,download it or however to organize it, than switch the lights off and watch it.

edit : hmm the description in the link above really sucks...it's not enough to get a picture of it.
The friends didn't know of Hannes' sickness before the trip.
They got it to know just on the way; that Hannes is ill and his last days are before him and he drives not because of the same reason they drive each year, but because he has a date with a doctor in belgium that will fullfill his last wish and make his life an end.. because in germany assisted suicde is illegal. It's deep shit but also very lovely and most of the time even hilariously fun because they have given tests to each other to fullfill and there is a lot of fun scenes along their journey. And of coures really sad and sadder as Hannes loses his energy more and more the more they get closer to Belgium.
