Well, it worked for me (although I might be a rather special case). I definately think it's not worse than drinking alcohol which in my country is allowed for teens at the age of 16. And IMHO alcohol should be considered as a Class A drug and not LSD.

The problem with little kids is that they see a funny old guy in silly costumes that tells them that drugs are good. The last thing a kid needs is to get high on Class A drugs before he can even shave.

Actually no its not an exaggeration at all. Its reality. The guy is responsible for a lot of drug promotion and it does not take many braincells to realize that a lot of young people "dig" T.I.P. Worlds releases and we also very well know that the phenomenon of "idiolising" sadly also excist in this scene. So when a young person look up to artists like Raj (and I could mention a few other too) who say that "drugs are cool eat them like candy" then some people will follow the "message".
Yes alchohol etc. are also drugs but there are alcohol politics in many places where the parties take place (clubs) where you can't drink before you are 21 etc. Also in Europe. Are there any drug politics among the "enlightened" psyheads and Raj? I doubt it. I simply think it's very irresponsible for an old educated guy like him to promote drugs to young people (or any age for that matter). He very well know the risk factor but choose not to say anything about the many downsides to drugs.
And do not forget we are debating Raj's drug promotionn here, Not if its bad to drink alchohol or not. It's really not the issue here.

And a side note to those who still think it's all about drugs and that a party without drugs is no party.
KEEP YOUR DRUG USE/ABUSE TO YOURSELF AND STOP PROMOTING DRUGS LIKE THERE'S NO TOMORROW. STOP TELLING THE WORLD HOW COOL IT IS TO DO DRUGS AND THAT MUSIC CANT BE ENJOYED WITHOUT 3-5 E'S. ACID OR WHITE POWDER.
It's the no. 1 reason why the World and so many Authorities have such a hard time accepting the psytrance scene. They see the scene as a massive drug abuse hangout. And at times I feel they are quite right.
I'll preppare to crawl down in a trench now.

Well, in Switzerland, Germany and I think Austria as well you are allowed to drink alcohol at the age of 16. Most people even sell it to younger kids. And there is nothing like information or education.
I just think all the legal advertising for legal drugs is at least as bad as Raj telling that LSD can expand your mind (which is a fact).

The Problem is that nobody makes a difference between drug use and drug abuse as soon as it gets to illegal drugs. Parties are not a drug abuse hangout, but a drug use hangout. And of course it can be enjoyed without drugs (and when I say that I mean ALL drugs incl. Alcohol) but if people want to enjoy it with drugs I think it's their right. And it's also their (and Raj's) right to tell anybody how they feel about it.
But I guess we're going to far off-topic right now. We can carry on this discussion via PM if you want to.

no matter how you want to slice it......drugs have alwayz played some sort of a role going way back......
this is not a "new" phenomena......
give the guy a break.....he probably doesnt have that many "servicable" brain cells.....
everyone has the right to listen to what they want to.......and consume anything they choose or not to choose.....
i have a hard time believing the notion that RAJ is causing a new "upswing" in drug usage.......jajaja..........have you seen the dude?......
i dont think too many people are really following his lead......jajaja...
you will alwayz have those people that consume their "goodies" in moderation.....and you will alwayz have those who consume in "excess".....
those same people who consume in "excess" have alwayz been around.....and most likely will alwayz be there as well.....
so leave the dude alone....

First I never said that drugs are not "welcome" in the psytrance scene or anywhere else. What I pointed out is that maybe if people would stop promote drugs on every occasion they got and stop worshipping drugs so much. Then just maybe things would look a little better when it come to how this scene's image is in the rest of the society.
I have always considered drugs to be a private matter. Just as Religion is. A private matter that should stay private and not be a tool for promotion and selfpromotion. As Raj an co. use it as. And as some of you here seem to think is all ok and cool.
It's also amazing to see that no one here actually care or agree on that we should try to protect young people more than we do. Especially Teenagers brains are still developing and we all (hopefully) know how much many teenagers emotions goes up and down. It's part of being a teenager! So to promote heavy drugs (yes LSD, E's and amphetamine etc. are heavy drugs) to especially young people who many times are very easy to influence, as if it's all ok to eat drugs like candy, is plain wrong and in my opinion also very irresponsible. Especially artists, labels and party organisers have a responsability to not influence young people in the wrong direction. And in my world it's wrong to influence young people to do drugs. No matter if it's Acid, E's, Amphetamine. alchohol etc.
