i was playing psytrance at a mixed-genre event many years ago (we were using turntables at the time, sharing a stage with some drum & bass djs that had played earlier in the evening), and this one guy brought a microphone up to the stage and begged and pleaded for me to let him plug-in and MC over my set. he was so persistent (and arguably so jacked-up on meth) that i almost told him yes, just so that he wouldn't get pissed off and try to take a swing at me for turning him down. in retrospect, i sort of wish that i had let him go ahead and do his thing.. it would probably make for a better story.
