um... more than likely because you sit twiddling knobs all day. (couldnt help myself)
there are a couple of things that can cause arms to get sore, the root of your pain is more than likely due to your joints, possibly you were carrying a heavy bucket or maybe a shopping packet , you never know
also maybe you slept on your arm in a funny way (this you may never know , because while you are sleeping, you duno if you are laughing or not, hence not being able to prove whether or not it is funny)
other likely causes maybe fatigue, shrinking syndrome, or juggling.
Tell you what colin, i'll make you a demo tape for when you play at vort, and if you take it and even listen to it (it will be very good, i sampled a biscuit tin being hit by my head the other day) i will show you some neat exercises for your arm as well as dispense with any other advice to questions you might have been wondering about.

Not really, i just needed to know from the wise l33t what was concedered better. Oh and also to get the thread starting again.

Chow a bunch of edit, stand on the one dancefloor and sway your hips from side to side, reaching a level of control that will allow your spirit to leave your now swaying body and travel to the other dancefloor.
