I had a fantastic time in Israel when I played there.
People were cool, the food was excellent, and I felt perfectly safe all the time I was there.
In fact I felt a LOT safer walking through Tel Aviv at 4:00am in shorts and bare feet than I would walking through London at 11:00pm in full body armour.
It didn't take us that long to get through airport security - and our laptops/music gear didn't arouse any particular suspicion.
The Tel Aviv I found was nothing like you see on our news reports - for obvious reasons. Israel only seems to make the news in Europe when something bad happens. |
