Agreed.
Music comes first.
Then comes the production.
without music - produciton is nothing.
but without production - the track is not the best.
2 must go together for a track be at its best.
period.

Without quality sound, you might as well go for making some Punk. Really, quality is in a 303 line - the fatness of that synth is something that screams quality if done right. Nothing to do with production. Quality of sound is something much bigger than having a good ear.
