Well, after a very long time, i got 1 of my most anticipated albums of the year.
here is my full review...

1.Festival Of Life (a very nice opening 4 this album. Fits perfectly with the rest of it. kind of a teaser of what up 2 come. A very tribal/Multicultural music with lots of drum loops and some nice samples. Very Chaituish)
2. In Magical Forrest (Not my cup of tea. A low BPM track, not really "understandable", very all-around, not clean, not clear, the sound not really fit. also here u can chaitu's excellent Samples. Nice atmosphere but not more. a real mess)
3. OverNight Shatabdi (Here starts the trance part of the Album. A night piece with great FX's and excellent samples. A very dark atmosphere but some loops simply dont fit. a good track though. can work great in a begining of a night.)
4. Insha'allah (This track is devided 2 2! 1 - The amazing samples! i mean WOW! 2 - The horrible build-ups, the "mish-mash" of all the FX's, what a disaster. this is a real Trancelusent track. i dont like the sound of the track but worth a listen only 4 the samples.)
5. The call of the wild (A very hard aggressive night tune, inspired by the Tech-trance trend. Very "Factory-sound" FX's and some nice atmospheric sounds. this track is built much better, a bit more matue imo. in fact, this track is one of the best trance tracks on the album)
6. The blue room (4 all u forum "chongs" this track is inspired by our very own forum (actually by the old forum and much by the new 1) this track imo is 1 of the weakest points of the album, a real mess. its supposed 2 b some kind of a chill/vibe/ambient track with some break-beat elements, only it is not orgenized well and the whole point simply gets lost. I would never release this kind of music. sorry chai chai)
7. Moon Crescent (A great drum roll! the percussions r excellent, the atmosphere is amazing, and the loops r incredible. the samples as usual when it comes 2 chaitu r unbeliveable! its nice 2 c that there r artists that dont "steal" other people's sounds and innovate! wtg chaitu!)
8. Deep Purple (A very wierd and imature track, very "mevulgan" but the melodie on 02:50 is the best night melody i've heard since Gothic Prayer by Dark Soho! the track is very "fruity" but it has its moments. but still i think i wouldnt release this track. i mean it has an amazing potential but it is not finished! its very very imature!)
9. Lights in the sky (A very aggressive and technoish. very well built. great FX's, nice loops, and a great "tam-tam" loop! in the middle this track gets more melodic and soft and it loses its clearness, it turns into the bad direction of this album, where things r imature and "mevulganim"!) I really think chaitu should stay in the night buisness 4 now...
10. Walkin' through the ruins (The 1st tune i've ever heard from Chai Chai and it is a nice 1 indeed! a simply amazing sample from an arabic band which i cant recall its name. some nice FX's and cool bass-line... its a nice piece all in all... not perfected but nice.)
11. Desert OF Dreams (A fuckin' excellent way 2 finish this album! Chaitu's best down-tempo tune of this album! a great ambient track with lots of drums, loops, FX's and percussions, only this time its well orgenized (and synchronized!!)! this 1 is a defenite keeper!!!!)

Ok, all in all this album is a nice album as an album cause it comes 2 tell u a story, chaitu's story. The production is imature in most of the album, and the tracks imo should have been more worked on, especially on the sound department and harmony.
The best point of this album is defenitly chaitu's ability 2 u dig hard and find amazing samples, melodies and atmospheric sounds that makes u goose bumps! chaitu's sample choosing is a work of art! u people should learn!

2 sum up, this album is worth about 7.5/10 in my chart. A bit dissapointed if i may add from Trancelusent and chaitu. I hoped that trancelusent would learn after "Empty Hand" that as much as a theme and a story behind an album is cool, it shouldnt come on top of the production quality!

Hey Guy,
firstly its 'Festival of Life'
i;m glad that you like most of the album, about the tracks which seem 'mevulganim' (whatever that may mean) i ask you to try them again. My music is a different from most others, as you noticed theres a lot of sounds jumping up and down, and it needs a couple of listens to get into it.
About the tracks being unfinished, i can assure you i worked long enough on them and neither me nor homsy would have released them if they were not 100%.
anyways, thanks for the review, and glad u liked the cd for the most part!

Bom Bom,

Chaitu

ps - below a review of the cd from www.psychedelicmarket.com

New from Israel and something a little different here. Track1 called 'Festival Of Life' starts us off nicely with a good bit of chanting and ambience, reminding me slightly of Banco De Gaia. Pucker in its own right and will definitely have its place in my ambient set. A slight Indian influence with a small but effective kick when used. Track2 is 'In Magical Forest' which has a soft kick and simple melody. There are some very odd sounds but the hat makes it a progressive ambient adventure through tribal worlds. Track3 'Overnight Shatabdi' has a more powerful approach and I kept focusing on the twisted bird sounds coming from the trees. A stabbing synth does damage as it progresses into darkness. Hmm night time in the woods might be the right environment for this. Towards the end it gets a little more complicated and messy. Track4 'Inshallah' begins a bit industrial. Mean machines with hard dark kicks. There are surprising sounds that are in contrast with each other but still able to communicate. Different but danceable. Track5 'The Call Of The Wild' has a mother kick and we are still sticking with machinery. This one moves into a slightly bouncy skazi style... it can be a good stomp, pretty thrashy, heavy and also scary. Just join in the howling. Track6 is 'The Blue Room'. This is a drum and bass room leading to all over the shop madness. Finally a more sensible kick and mood takes over although the stress and mess returns from above making the whole thing intense. It doesn't last long though and after some orgasmic chanting and an overload of different sounds it all makes a very different tune. An open mind may be needed but once you're on the same sound wave length its brilliant. Track7 'Moon Crescent' has great drumming and sounds refreshing. Lots of great noises accompany it including a snappy laser. I like that funky kick drum. The pace increases and its a lot of fun to hear. Basically one big jamming session that you may want to join in with. Very ethnic in feel and danceable in a chillout environment. Track8 'Deep Purple' has a harder throb and some squelchy meanies with a cheeky sound poking its toungue out. Surprisingly it turns hard into a great rhythm. After the break its a killer melody and quite infected. Lovely samples and a great bit of piano. My favorite on here and I'll be knocking this out in my set early on for quite some time... Track9 'Lights In The Sky' is a progressive plod that screws your brains. Another unusual journey and the drums are again effective. I found myself dancing in the clouds. Track11 is 'Desert Of Dreams' and a real ethnic feel again. Totally ambient but happy and positive. A magical journey through different voids and cultures. That last sentence is what this whole album is about. Its very different with so many influences there will be something for everyone... A totally original album and a good production its definitely worth checking out. I've had it playing at home constantly so it may be used more in your house that on the dancefloor. I'm Impressed. Kenneth , very good review man !

don't know much about this CD , I heard the first track "festivl of life" and I really liked what I have heard. (I will buy it soon and give a fdull review)

I disappointed of Trancelucent's "empty hand" too ,but Trancelucent's latest release "pneumatic angles" is very high level of quality.

Well in my point of view (Since i havent heard the album yet) Kenneth is a trusted friend of mine and whatever he says must be taken seriously, otherwise its a great and honest review... It must be difficult to give criticism to a great friend and he should get respect for this...

Respect Chai chai and kenneth

Now now, stop fighting children...
my intentions were harmless, i just said what on my mind and i expect u both as my friends 2 give me the exact attention i gave 2 your work. what i like and disslike doesnt matter. the point is that this album ment alot 2 me since this is our very own chaitu and i was very very exceited 2 listen 2 it since i feel that i have a part in it (morally and mentally) so i had a great time reviewing it cause it chaitu is my friend! if this review will effect a friendship of any kind then i will edit it (or delete it)!
Keep up the PLUR!!           "...God made weed, Man made booze. Who do u trust?..."

I just don't have this album because i can't find it on Psyshop which is from where i buy all my stuff.

I enjoyed reading reviews and some "interventions" in the Forum from Chaitu so i'm very curious to listen what he made on his first work and keep waiting for a good chance to get it.

By the way, words like "horrible" or "disaster" (and some comments), don't sound to me very constructive.

But that's just me...          - BEing mySELF
