What The Fuck!!!!
Why almost all psy trance fans thinks that everything below 140bpm is prog music?????
Since when Lutzekirtchen is prog???? Its the most pure Electro-House!!!!! one of the bests by the way...
Sometimes i think that this is real "preconcept"... Why does people just dont accept that they also like house music?
I repeat: progressive house is one thing, electro-house is another. |

schron i was in brazil last year and u have absolutely nothing to worry about trance there they are just as crazy about trance as we are the parties i had the most fun in (not HUGE events) were in arra'ail d'ajuda and lagoa azul in trancoso (where i had one of the most magical sunrise of my life) BEAUTIFUL people great atmosphere and killer music... the bigger parties are in the bigger cities they always have something going on... |

I dont know why you are so sensitive about this.. it´s just semantics.. each person gives different definitions to similar things (and similar definitions to different things) ..
it would be presumptous of anybody to think that there is one specific universal objective definition for every single thing, and that one knows it... and even more for something so fluid and borderless as musical genres..
I can only say for myself.. I enjoy very much these genres that we can losely call as ´prog trance, prog house, electro house, tech house, electro´ and so... my own personal history began in psytrance, but I now quite dislike it.. I moved on to prog trance, and from there to other genres such as the ones I mentioned above..
Words are codes.. they are ´images´ that we put subjective meanings into it.. They are not universal, they are contextual..
The word that I use, with my friends and people in this ´scene´ (if we can use such a term), to define the collection of genres I listen to, is ´prog´.. By prog I mean the opposition of ´psy trance´ (which in my code, would include full on, goa trance, dark trance and such)..
So prog for me is this.. all those artists I quote, were ´prog´ in my terms. I have come to the conclusion that it´s a good term to use in general, most people will understand it (but you can never please everybody.. as we can see, you are not pleased)..
so I said all this just so you understand what I mean..
and no, as you can see, I dont name everything under 140bpm as ´prog´.. and I do know that there are a million other genre classifications.. but as a simplified way, I think ´prog´ is a good term to use |

by the way, he also played today on Hiptronic Festival in Porto Allegre in Brasil and this was a really impressive performance. hope to see him soon again.
