Psytrance Gatherings and World War Situation?

just a crazy question .
what would you do if you had planned to go to a psytrance festival next summer ,
and at the last minute a war situation appeared in nearly every country in the world? *terrorism,military,revolution,whatever....
would you still try to attend those festival/gathering , or stay home , or what ???
its just a scenario but could be interesting to hear opinions.

of course 100% yes i'll attend that party/festival for sure .
infact that festival will become more important than war because that might be just the last festival if war is really at a big scale.
maybe we can give them a message of peace through music .

back in 2001-2002 in Macedonia was a conflict with some terorists in the north (real ones, and really serious conflict) where there was some viliges burnings and yes people killings!
...and in the summer 2002 was Samothraki gathereing,
the year when the number of macedonians who atend the festival was the biggest
personaly me, i was i little bit far away, i was on BooM on the same date

its insane man..i wudnt ever think of partyin n enjoying myself if i know that just a lil away people r killing and getting killed....it wud weigh heavily on my conscience...
for the safety of own ass...id haul it FAAAAAAAAAAAR AWAAAAY as possible from dat place......

i agree with addictive elements...
it would weigh on my conscience too
but then come to think of it it happens right now as well na....
there is soo much suffering in the world, wars are being fought, ppl are dying every second but we are still partying it up...waiting desperately for the next event/ festival whatever...
i guess as long as it does not affect us directly we pretty much have a i don't care attitude
and this msg of peace thru music n ummmm psy music- i dont know!! call me a pessimistic

no bro i'm definitely not going to stand with a flower in the party.
i'll be dancing like mad guy who will be dancing as if there's no party again in this world  .that party will have a great importance. who knows if it's the last party.
i don't want to miss that party man. if there's a war at a big scale.
tht's all i'm saying man.
abt taking asses off far from that place ?

that means that they are going to kill u even if u are hiding at home,any other country because the war will be everywhere. 
and i think that party will be a better place to save asses than anywhere.

yeah man like that Tsunami happend just b4 New Years time....felt very fukall to njoi myself....but then wat cud i do..at that time theres no way i cud make a diff to those people xcept thru prayers ...so i did dat and partied also !!
Agreein with u even i say music has no message of peace in it....try xplainin the music=peace concept to Musharaff and India....try explainin it to The leaders of ISrael and PAlestine.... try expalinin it to the common folk whove suffered coz of the war..loss of life,property etc..to the families of soldiers dead in battle....u think theyd ever grasp it......the only postitive power of music is bringin people of diff castes,religons,nationalities under the same banner (like for a show,concert or festival).....but then again dis also deals with a few people maybe a few 100s (like mayb in the psy vibe for a party) or a few 1000s for a festival.......such small #s is not gonna make a diff....they cannot impact the sentiments of an entire nation/religion..
.....let alone the fact that a HUGE MAJORITY of the 1000s ,EITHER live a lifestyle on the outer edges of social acceptance (read :hippies ) ,OR dunt care a damn .....OR r too busy.......AND neither have a social /political standing eminent enough to make a mark on the public influence...
So i say music is just a really nice way of enjoyin urself and meetin like minded ..same wavelength people of diff countries ,etc....its def not a medium for change...
eg :For eg: If an isareli meets and chill with a Palestinian at a fest..(which i doubt happens ? ) he isnt gonna go back to israel after the fest and try to change the general ISraeli publics opinion abt the Palestinians becoz they just wudnt lissen to him.....
My stance explained.....but im still open to debate...i guess this threads got a tremendous scope to evolve into an intellectual exchange of idea.....
@love n light....hell ur pessimistic.....but being pessimistic is just another way of saying ur being realistic and not idealistic...but hell try explainin it to people !

i do think though they have been artists in the past and a few now in various parts of the world that have/are trying to spread the msg of peace/understanding through their music.
( i don't know any psy artists doing the same-).
their songs might not be able to stop a war or end the suffering but i think they do have the strength to make the public sit up and take notice of whats going on in a particular region-now whether the public does something about is a different argument i guess.....
imo music is universal and crosses so many boundaries and reaches so many ppl that artists do have a responsibility to make use of it as a tool to make some songs with a social message other than the usual booty shaking,love making crap that we hear all the time.
at the end of the day we all have a social responsibility and need to use the tools we have to help in some way or the other.
..........ok i think now im going in a total different direction..sorry dAtakult!

suffering is a part of reality
just because there is suffering all around doesnt mean that you give up having a good time

what hapened in ex yugoslavia is a clear example how the war is soo unnecessary.
the war ends and the borders didnt changed!!!

yeah... but id rather go for a megadeath concert and destroy the mosh pit than to a psy trance festival to pop acid and pretend that its all okay.. be all happy and carefree and not bother about that bomb thats gonna fall on us when im peaking.
