Saying everything sucks isn't going to help. If you'd take religion away from people now there would be chaos. Complete and utter chaos, unless it's replaced by something new to believe in. Most people need something to believe in, to justify living. Religion causes much trouble, I agree wholeheartedly on that. But taking it away now isn't going to do any good. And anyway, how would you propose we get rid of religion? The harm is already done. It goes back to the first humans, so changing it now won't be an option. Wars will always be fought, be it for territory, people or religion. It's in our nature.

The question then becomes, is forgetting our skills and abilities in regards to waging war really what we want ?
When the nasty aliens come crashing in, and they all listen to country music - We will need a way to eradicate them!
Seriously, it is not only in our nature, but nature as such.
I dont think war as such is evil or wrong, it just is. What the question then becomes, and what needs to be controlled, is when to fight, and when not to.
When fighting for survival, it is OK to kill - If not, its not ok.
A simple rule, for what is at its base a primitive event.
Problem is, we no longer fight for our survival, but for the survival of our ideologies. We fight for power, instead of life.
In those regards, our species sets aside the value of human life, and chooses to let war be the driving factor behind our social systems.
Survival of the fittest is the aim, and war is the method. Not for the survival of life, but for the survival of systems of power, control & management of our ressources - Life & Matter. Religion, Economics & Politics are such systems.
Life is spent for the development of social infrastructure within the human culture as a whole.
Its all happening on a subconscious level inside the mechanics that make up our "civilizations" collective mind.
Nature is cruel ! Nature is beautiful ! - It is all in the eye of the beholder.
Im sure most animals on the planet would cry out in joy if we all just died here and now.

no war is necessary
the only thing a man NEEDS to do is: eat, drink, pee, shit and sleep
if someone doesnt let you do these things then you have 2 choices:
1. fight with him
2. go away to a better and more peaceful place..

If everybody choose #2 there would be no peacefull places to go in the end and you would be left with choice #1 anyway, just with the difference that the enemy is far stronger than if you would have confronted him rightaway, in a ruthless manner.

judging by alot of the types of suedo names used by people on this site and some of the music thats being released at the moment,i think some of these people would like a bit of front line action.
in regards to the shit in the middle east...go on isrealy psycadelic nutters,put loads of lsd in your water mains(like those freaky hippes tried to do in america in the 60's)and change the world.they couldn't achieve it ,but you could.peace in the middle east means peace everywhere!(i reckon) |

nowdays wars begin for the money from the multinational-companies.
money is responsible for every war.
u cant do anything about it.
the future of humanity isnt happy...
i dont believe any normal human has any difference to solve with another one who has different religion & culture.exept some fanatics (unfortunatelly they are many)...
they learned to hate near to the best teachers (schools,media,priests,goverments)
when most people stop be sheeps and make war against to these teachers,the future will be better...
but this is a utopia.
stupidness is unbeatable...
so everybody have to choose his indipedent way of living...

all wat was mentioned is true to an extend but war is not only caused by religion, territory etc.. i think the greatest influence is media.. it's more powerfull than weapons.. it brain washes billions of skulls per minute... instead of spreading peace, meditation, brotherhood and psytrance

Music isn't ever going to change war, because most people don't feel too passionately about their music. So yes, there's always time for music, but there's also always time for war. If you want to stop the wars you need political action.
Btw, I don't want to be hypocritical talking about this, I obviously DON'T support George Bush, and I have my own opinions on that situation seperately..
Anyway, thats what I think...there is barely any relation between the music and war.
But we do need to stop the wars.  |
