i think it is sufering a little bit of a stagnation..most of the tunes are coming out these days are copies, well not copies in truth, but they are very similar to ones anothers..there are exceptions, but most of them, are very similar..no inovation, and the main reason is because the standarts now are bery high me thinks..a lot of stuff is already invented..
and truth to be told, anyone with a pc, and some lessons think they are artists..maybe more maturation would be required

Is a litle bit diferent... i think that is something normal, every artistic movement have changes, seasons with less and more activity, psycadelic trance have jump to the mainstream and that have consequences!
But is not dead, the energy remains!!

I strongly desagree with you in the first part and agree on the second
Lots of amazing things being produced..but even more shitty things coming out!!! It takes more than "SOME" lessons to be a musician or else you're just following a formula - boring!!!!
Hey, you go to one of this huge psychadelic "drive-ins" and kind know why so many shit is been played for music..'cause there is a lot of kids dancing to it!!!

i don't know why but psychedelic trance is a type of music that pulls people and makes them want to produce it!
on the begining the best psychedelic music was produced by people who travelled a lot, into India and other inspiring places.
most of the producers were somehow mystic or enlighted and they wanted to transmit that kind of message on their music.
nowadays, there's a lot of tech kids from 17-22 years, that play with computers and make music. some of them have great production skills but the music is not so special anymore.
here in portugal, psychedelic music is not dead, it just evolved into a strange scene.
the party boom and new producers wave started in 2004/2005, but now it slowed down a bit.
some years ago some big event promoters were accused of being money makers. i don't think that true.
there are a few professional organizations, some commercial while others are more underground.
there's all kinds of parties, good, bad, big, small.
there's still a lot of small parties promoted by friends groups or small organizations. sometimes the parties have low quality and awful line-ups
personally, i love the sound but i'm not into parties anymore. too much kids, weird people, visually depressing crowds...
i prefer big events like boom, freedom, full moon. or quality parties with producers and djs that i really like.
there are some great portuguese producers on various styles, full on, night fullon and dark psy.
but some of them sound the same...

i think so, the psyquedhelic trance is for me a new style or life, but i dont like de darkness i like the light!!!!the sun i see all the peolple smyle, this is for me it is dead for me at dark parties. peace i lucesillas de colores

hey mate, but why you are talking about dark parties, if you dont like them? (if you dont like, just dont go)
if you love light psychedelic sounds go to the parties with more Light sounds(you have to choose by the line ups, and by the org that is making the party).
But please mate, dont be a dumb kid that come to the forums saying that psychedelic trance is dead, because it is really not true, and it just show to me that you are just inside "your fashion bubble" and you dont want to see the other possibilities.
Explore and be more conected to the things you really like.

I don't think he is saying that psytrance is dead, he\she is asking. He is also giving his opinion about dark parties, he is not saying that they are bad, he is just saying that he\she doesn't like them.
Don't be so defensive here and don't make assumptions. We are here to discuss what we think.

Darkpsy?? And you talk about fashion bubble.
To me, that kind of music is nonsense, done by small uneducated children. Not proper dance music.
Talk with ANYONE that understands a little bit of dance music and he'll laugh in your face.
On the other hand psy-trance is not even mentioned on the most popular music distribuition download sites like Beatport or Juno which are the places to buy dance music.
If its not dead, its pretty close.
No wonder every decent artist this movement hads put out is changing their styles. Their fed up, its not serious anymore, it has no respect by the dance music crowd.
Only the remaining hard-core hippies, that wont change even if the world colapses.
But that's their own personal problem anyway who gives a fk.
And its not about being fashion or mainstream, its reality, and only if your blind or live in a cave you wont realize it, so cut the crap and be honest about it.
