o.k,finally...there is an overwhelming amount of people who would agree with what i said above.commercial trance is ruining the scene.
i am not bitter,i am not sniggering,or pointing,i am being honest of my opinion.
its o.k to be critical bRaNdSkI,you can to if you want!(and you will still be allowed to be a non-geek,dont worry)
some people do take this point seriously,including a huge amount of artists.listen to everyones opinion,good or bad.thats why its a forum.
but as neutron said.its ok to drink and shag and listen to cheesy poo,as long as you are having fun.
definition is limitation.honesty has no limits
(ps.this site is for non geeks?yeh right.check out the review page.)anyway,i like geeks,especially spotty ones with thick lensed glasses and greasy hair.

I'm never clear why any particular sort of music is "ruining the scene". There have *always* been more mainstream parties and more "underground" (whatever that means) parties. If you think one sort of party is not to your taste - its quite simple - dont go - nobdy is forcing you.
And do go to the parties that you do like.

It doesnt sell albums any more because of you tit wanks downloading music .. .so the artists/ musitians .. they have to make money out of something .. .
and plauign in partys is the only way ...
there needs to be a structure for the artist ti INTERACT with the ppl on the dancefloor... ... and that structure costs money ..
and no one is going to put money to build a structure for you to go to a party for freeeee...
If you think its comercial than dont go ...
but i bet your the kind of person that eats mcdonalds at 10 am

Hey dirty, The fact remains that the scene/world is what it is and we all have to recognise the part each of us has to play in this crazy stage show. You might not like it, but you dont have to go there or listen, and some would say that as long as these people enjoy the commercial sound/vibe then let them have it, because once you scrape past that fairly superficial layer, you will find a pulsing & very psychedelic experience waiting for you, once you take the time to find it that is. Its not always easy to find as you may know, but its always been like this if you ask me. A.

Great post....i agree with you 100%.
I went along to the Brixton Academy party last night, sure it may be seen as a rather commercial event, and I am not a huge fan of the acts that played.
But, still, it was a great party, the vibe was friendly, and most people were very respectful of each other. Most of the crowd there I would say were your 'normal' ravers, not really your typical psy crew. However if they can take away from those parties the good vibe that so many psy parties have, that can only be a good thing.
