hello all... whatsup?
i searched the section for this question and didnt find it... so dont kill  me if u allready saw it before 
my questions r: r u defining urself a trance collector?
how many cds u've got? (ofcurse im only refering original cds/vinyl!!!)
what is ur most rare and/or oldest cd/vinyl?
whiich cd u dont got and dieing to get?
since when u collecting?
and with what cd u started to collect trance cds?
i've started collecting cds in middle of 2000 first cd that started all was "Sonichaos-Technologica" what started with cheesy nitzhonot turned quit fast to "real" trance... old goa and psy...
till now i've reached above 220 cds
and couple of rares i've got:
edi mis & har-el trans nova express(94)
Trancemania(93)
har-el - new pagan world(95)
chakra & edi mis - the promied land(95)
there r few more rare ones but thats it for now..
dieing to get the other two of the pagan trilogy...actually there is a long list... but now ill let u answer

hello  i'm a collector as well (started to buy 1998) but not only goa, i also collect old metal vinyl (iron maiden/judas priest picture vinyl). today i have got around 130 goa discs and a few vinyl. i'm looking through record stores every weekend to see if i can get something old and sold out anywhere else.
my rarest records are ( i think):
MPLP01 - Matsuri Prod. - Prana - Cyclone (Vinyl)
MPLP02 - Matsuri Prod. - Transwave - Helium (Vinyl)
MPCD13 - Matsuri Prod. - Sandman - Witchcraft
TR1007 - Tunnel Rec. - X-Dream - We created our own happiness
INFCD001 - ? - Floating Point - Between Worlds
no idea if these are really rare ones, but i cant find them anywhere anymore...i'm dieing to get sympathy in chaos 1 - 3 and koxbox - forever after.

not because no good music, more financila problems, i will back as soon as get proper work.

I won't call myself psycollector, cause psy takes less than quarter of the quantity of my cd's. And i am becoming more and more picky on what to buy.
I have approximately 150 CDs with mostly Electronic music from 92 and on. And several Rock/Alternative stuff as well. I'm not sure on how much rare stuff i have. The only one i really care is TIP's - Stimuli track that was released on Perfecto Fluoro label with MWNN's remix. It's a promo copy, so i guess it adds some extra value to it, but i'm not exactly sure.

What is a trance collector? Is that someone trying to get a complete collection of all psy releases? www.psydb.net list 2700 CDs (including ambient and chill out, almost 5000 if we also include vinyl). I have no plan on ever getting all those releases so I guess I'm not a real collector. Is there anyone sick enough to even try?
Or is a trance collector someone who hunts down old rare stuff? I don't do this much either, much easier to by stuff new and wait for it to become rare  But not as much fun though.
How do you define a trance collector?
I bought my first psy CD in 1996, it was Balagan released on Symbiosis. I guess that is pretty rare today. Still in mint condition But it took a couple of years before I really started to collect (it got so much easier when getting a credit card and I could order from other countries).
Later I have gotten hold on the first Symbiosis release as well "Accidental Occidentalism", I think that is the rarest I have. I also have the original release of Koxbox - Forever After, released on HartHouse in 1995. But trance is becoming rare very fast, so today I think most of what is released before 2001 is becoming very rare (except for the large labels that is still here).
I have never counted my CDs so I don't know how many I have.
What I'm dying to get:
First release from Koyote, Iboga and Flow.
VA - Feel the Noyze (Matsuri)
Deviant Electronics - Brainwashing is childs play
Orion - Futuristic Poetry
Transwave - Hypnorhythm
Juno Reactor - Luciana

I've been collecting music from late 94 since now, although the original cds span from 94 till 97
I have some quite rare cds like Accidental Occidentalism and Survival of the Trippest, The Juggeling Alchemists under the Black Light etc etc.
But my rarest stuff is some really old vinyl releases from Tip, Psychic Deli, Tunnel rec...
Don't hope 2 much 4 something cause u may end up getting it... |

well mike, guess where or whom i got this cd from? and yes, i thought INF means infinty, but its nowehre written on the cd indeed.

i would like to pitch my lot in with the bunch of you guys. My collection is rather piddly ,
but i have some cd's that i dont find anywhere else.
Shakta - Silicon trip.
matsuri - prana.
These are the only ones i can think abt right now.
But i have another interestin one called
Deep Forest - Bohemia.

A good friend of mine and I have been collecting vinyl for years.
My rarest item is THE INFINITY PROJECT tipLP001. mint condition and never been played.
I've also got some other goodies in wax like Etnica Alien Protein and Total Ecplispe-Violent Relaxtion. I have A LOT of old tip and matsuri singles along with a lot of other classics. |
