they were Johnny "Sin" Georgoulas, Hercules Dregas and Mike Gekas.
and yes i believe they were playing uplifting trance!

Psycho Meditation was the project of Mihalis Gekas (current Wizzy Noise),Iraklis Dregas (current ZMA label manager) and Johny Sin.
Mihalis and Iraklis were never into uplifting trance music (as nitzhonot music used to be called in Greece back in those days) and although Johny Sin was a famous dj at that time who knew and probably even played some uplifting trance music in his dj sets because the people enjoyed it he was never fond of this kind of music.
So saying that these three people created a group that produced uplifting trance is a great paradox if you ask me,especially if you have listened to their tracks....

ok i have the impresion that there is going to be a whole "what is uplifting trance" think and for shure i dont want to .
they re not around anywayzz

all i know about uplifting is that i begun listening to this music when i was 15.at first i thought this was rave music(!!!???).some tracks are really good and some artists.although i am into full on and dark psy now,sometimes i go back to my uplifting trance past.
all musics are good depeding on time |

Absolut music is realy powerfull, he gives a hell of a set and he has repect from many people,as a dj
the last time i heard him he kicked ass in politenupoli with 500 people there dancing like crazy with his tunes,
i think its not nice disrespecting some 1
even if his quote was a joke, we all have heard upliting mabe not as much as others,
i never use to be fanatic about this music was always in goa trance more melodic stuff then ,i wont lie that iv never benn or heard uplifting ,it was music played back then ,so stop saying every time u hear that name like its the deaster of the world ,its was music only played in the past ,most of have heard it mabe didnt like but heard even 1s, its stupit cose some people act like uplifting was bad music so all atack it ,some tracks were just made funny like ,football theams or other sounds the put for fun, for god sacks guys u v heard punk ,rock,metal,millions of stuff u make this music sound like its unusaly ,so what u make of tabakis -we should kill him i think... |

I didn't want to be rude,but last time i checked you played all the hits of the israeli pop-''psy'' scene which i consider to be todays uplifting trance..
Anyway my favorite artists are Dali,Hypersonic,Skazi and of course Absolut zero!

i've listened to a cd some time in the past which was a VS between Cyan and Psycho Meditation track by track.. judging by 4 tracks of each group, Cyan was absolutely uplifting, but Psycho Meditation was just melodic enough..
no way you can criticise Psycho Meditation as uplifting trance because they had melodies in their traxx, ffs. (although back in '98, '99, '00, every psytrance track had even a 3-note melody was criticised as uplifting and/or tsifteteli by many ppl, lol)
ps. as far as i remember Psycho Meditation were pretty good

I guess the "judgement" on upgifting is as a "part" (wannabe part actually) of psychedelic (or more generic, of electronic music). In all kind of music there re sub-genres that suxx (except from country which suxx in whole )

Tabakis is just a person not a music genre. We should 'kill' him only in the favour of the creators of the songs and theatrical plays he "signed"/"performed".
And dont confuse uplifting with anything with melodies (i guess u know what i mean by melodies). What absolut playz i dont like it(except some wrecked machines..) but its not uplifting. Fortunatelly there is no evolution of uplifting, which is natural. How something can evolve if never existed? (although fullon has some a litle influence from it)
And for god's shake, dont assume that everyone was listening to that shit. There were other stuff also.
