I am new here and after reading certain posts and not wanting to upset people by repeating topics i thought i would ask this question. what does psychedelic trance mean to you? why psychedelic trance? please tell of your reasons for psychedelic trance and how it has affected you personally. |

so all these people on this board has not been affected by psychedelic trance then? after reading about people moaning about posts which just focus on trance is dead blah blah blah i thought there would be more people who would like to open up about true personal feelings on the subject, deep meaningful feelings but obviously not.
Trance is truely dead then! |

psychedelic trance music just stunned me the first time. it sounded very special and mystic (and still does times to times:). yet its impossible for me to tell how it affected me in detail. it just affected me. its the way i am, i cant tell why...

The first time I ever heard psytrance I was like: Wow!! I sat there in amazement and listened to Spectral - Moonstone for the first time. After that came Astral Projection (the compilation I listened to was Distance to Goa 2) and from that moment on I knew: This is special stuff. I went on to buy Distance to Goa 4 and Hallucinogen's Twisted album. After hearing those I knew for certain: This is the music I love! I live for this shit!! Nowadays that's changed a bit though. I still love psytrance and it's my main music so to speak, but I've opened my ears for several metal groups and lots of other electronic music as well. Take Autechre for example... if anyone thought Infected Mushroom was good at sound manipulation they've obviously never heard Autechre going at it. Genius!!

Psychedelic music lifts you up and takes u to other dimensions were u can explore different worlds in your mind.. 
First listening to psy i was amazed..There r so many killaaa djs and so many kinds of psy for all kinds of tastes..From dark to full on...  All roads lead to the same source..PSYTRANCE!
This music really changed my life..

i simply looooooove psychedelic experiences  , this feeling of infinity , weird atmopspheres  , completely letting it go  and freak out  , getting into this special consciousness of a child  again and play around not paying attention to your outter appearance or role  .
and i´m very happy about the political consequence of a subculture creating it´s independent and autonomous space opposing the establishment:
the trance dance experience and mysticism are the greatest weapon against paternalism, fucking puritanist fascism and brainwashing
becaus
happy people experiencing freedom and love from time to time cannot be controlled and manipulated as easily as unhappy people or people who´re too much attached to materialism, ego, career, money etc.
it´s as simple as that |
