im probably exposing myself to criticism for this kind of post .. but what the hell ..
what songs have made u experience a sort of outerworldy feeling .. at a party ..
mine : after a pill in the morning, suddenly the dj started playing 380 volts, this was at the banyan tree in goa 30th december .. , and just watching all the people .. crazy clothes .. psy art on the trees, the dust being kicked up by everyone - they went crazy over the guitar riffs ..
what an experience .. every time i hear that song , im there again, watching the people .. seeing the sun rise .. feeling the high kick in ..
i know im not alone here ..so anyone care to share a similar experience?

i had one about half a year ago at a party in Tveria...
i was under the heavy influence of alchohol... too much of it... and they played SUN Project's Space Dwarfs (space tribe rmx)...
that night... it was so magical and amazing... i remember letting everything go with that track.... and after it... i danced around that little wood (çåøùä?) looking at the juglers... and then it all melted and ahh i can't put it into words... but it was amazing.... and as u said... whenever i hear that track i remember that night... and how magical it was.
this is the true power of the music.... |

i experienced the same as arrya in the first post at an outdoor party in the ruins of a castle. it was afternoon, the sun was shining bright and a dj put on psysex: skywalker remix. people were dancing like crazy. then the break in the song came with the voice sample (before the melodie kicks in) and it seemed to me (i was on shrooms and also on e's) that all the people stood still for a moment and when the melody started they shouted and cried and danced like mad. what a feeeeeeling! |

hi tatsu ;) we meet again ...
some years ago i was at a birthday party of someone i know ... it was a great party with all good music but there was one song that made the night so special ... cop : troll ...
i was there with my girlfriend and we had some E and the night was so wonderfull ... brings tears to my eyes thinking about it ...
but Real twisted psychedelic exp. i had last week at new-year on MFG and stuff ... i was so wasted i couldn't even recognise spiritual healing at tha moment ... just layback and enjoy the show i thought ... hèhè ;)) |

definitely the maos out of world experience ive ever had was summerdreaming 2000- after infected played and then someone else- richard ahlberg from kavator recs dj a set that rocked my world!!!
it was a very hot morning but the true stayers were rewarded with 2 hours of stopming gems-- no progressive just hard stompers
not sure what he played although i did recognize
mental institution rock
mind altering substances
the rest just flowed into one ultimate track until i basically passed out with the heat

yes, there was a great party overlooking the Kineret it was also an outdoor party in some castle ruins...in April or May last year, it was the best i've ever been too. Everyone was tripping out and smiling. it was the most beautiful feeling, people, no matter what backround were happy, together...it was dark and the stars and moon were so mysteriously bright and then as the sun rose it seemed like the sun and moon were coming together, there was dust everywere and there's no better feeling in the world then smiling at someone, connecting with them, and feeling them smile back at you, knowing what you know...but then again you probably only have two things in common at that point: drugs and trance...yes...and craziness
you know, it's great to be crazy but it sucks when you find someone as crazy as you and you make a connection but then you have to leave that person for a really long time, that night was so beautiful, I was on X with my boyfriend and so was everyone else...hehe drugs are good stomping is good. you notice the alcohol based trance parties are really down and heavy, and pretty boring...
parties are great in Israel, though, people are good. too bad america is not the same... in israel at a trance party if someone see's that your on and you need water, you get it, in america if someone see's you need water they don't care...just from personal experience, sorry I am stereotyping
anyways, being scratched is kinda fun

mine was in Los Angeles California, about 4 or 5 years ago. The scene was still underground over there. And it was a TIP label party. The best party i have ever been too. It was in the middle of a desert mountain, nothing around except for nature and speakers. and at around 5clock in the morning banzi was on the set. The sun was coming up and with that he played GMS-dirty harry. That was killer i never thought that track could sound so good in the morning. I still cant forget that moment. |

the best party i've been to this season, was a party on a farm, surrounded by trees and overlooking table mountain. it was about 40 degrees, sprinkler systems running. i was candy flippin', and everyone was there with one mission, and one mission only - to party, have fun and party bloody hard. seeing everyone go off and kicking up dust storms in the sweltering heat, connecting with everyone and seeing everyone having a good time... then a new dj started, began with a story - can't remember the whole story, but it ended with - "and for those of you on acid - your face is melting. only kidding. enjoy your trip!!!" the bass and guitar riffs kicked in and everyone went beserk!!! still get goosebumps thinking about it. |

My most psychedelic experience was in a party near Binyamina. Papps and Charasmatix were supposed to play and they both eventually didn't come. More than 500 poeple were there.
A friend of mine gave me and my friends some drops he got from the US. I never tripped this way. I could actually see the air I was breathing coming from far and entering my nose, everything was in 3D. The trees in the forest were smiling and dancing with us. The most powerful experience I've ever been through.
And of course the police had to come at 8 a.m and stop the party. We stayed there for 2-3 more hours, cause none of us was capable of driving.

I'll narrow it down a lot to party psychedelia...
It was near Nimbin in Australia, up on some hills, in the winter. It didn't rain or anything, it was just very, very cold. Now anyone who knowns Nimbin, knows that you can get every psychedelic substance known to man there, from mescaline to dmt, liquid lsd, salvia concentrates, whatever. Loads of hippies everywhere (and communes spread out in the area around Nimbin itself), rainbow colored storefronts and everything.
Anyways, back to the party. At the time, I was very happy, since I had wanted to smoke dmt for quite a while (mainly because of the very good PR job Posford has been giving that drug on every chance, and later on by reading every bit of information on it in erowid and McKenna's writings), and I got some at Nimbin, as well as loads of liquid lsd that I had at the time.
I took 3 good drops of liquid, and then, quickly before it kicked in smoked dmt in a nice, dark quite place in the woods. I don't think I can ever find the words to properly explain what I saw. I was *touching* and *swimming* in a live (well, it was concious and emotional, but not in a human way) *crystal* *ocean*, *hearing* it's *song* (I surrounded the words with the closest description I could find with asterisks, but just know that these are wildly innacurate and don't even begin to explain what I experienced).
When it came down and my open eye visuals were just amazing kaleidescopic improvisations of our world, the acid started to kick in, and I was full of positive energies (not from our world), and I decided to go to the music.
The music was terrible.
Some kids playing DJ and putting on 160+ bpm techno... I quickly went to the chillout zone, where they had another DJ playing there next to a fire (it was about -2 degrees there), and he put on some classics and kept the energies positive. I had a cup of tea, and I started tripping heavily to the sounds of Astral Projection - Mehadeva, the acid helping me understand the dmt revelation, and continuing it (in a twisted and low-powered way... well, compared to dmt :))... The time passed, I stayed next to the fire, looking at it, seeing spirits trying to come out of the flame, but locked inside.
I must have been there for a few hours, even though I really didn't notice the time.
What got me out of it, was the beginning of the sunrise. The grassy hills all around had gotten loads of frost all over them during the night. I was staring at icy fields of grass, sparkling in the soft morning sun, and vapours started to rise from the fields as the ice began to melt. It was probably the most spectacular sight I had ever seen. Thank God I was on acid. :)
I went to the main party area, only to see an old (about 55 years old), bald, thing man (somewhat reminding me of Yossi Sarrid) going up to the stand. And he started his set with some Space Cat, and gave one of the best morning sets I have ever heard, putting on a good combination of goa oldies and energetic psy (not minimal,very intelligent set, loads of emotion in every second).
I stayed until the last second he played (from about 6AM to 10AM), and then they started to pack up, so I hitched a ride back to Byron Bay, and just sat at the Arts Factory (the ultimate hostel in Australia), got a cup of coffee, and sat there looking at people making didjeridoos, and said absolutely nothing, just sat there thinking, dozing off into the memories of far away places that I had been that night, and knowing that part of that party will always stay with me.

i've had a lot of twisted experiences on the magical potion....but related to this post, i remember a big open air party in a valley...at a certain moment the microdot kicked in and the dj played IM / Release me.....a red shadow came over the crowd and suddenly this gathering of psYchedelic 'freakz' took a whole new dimension.... |
