Psychedelic and Trippy - Can one define a difference?

Trippy is when you are in acid bairn and you have all your sensies in the top,your dance and behaviur is wild, you thing you are the top and nothing can stop you, you hear the music and lost inside.If the track of the artist is to strong and with a lot of up side down sounds then you have triped out in the music.
Psychedelic is when you have take a simple LSD your body is relax with the power to dance in normal stage and all the psy of tracks or sounds or places have tach your brain only . You can t travell, imagine, hear and see things that not exist you can creat neverland of your desires.Psycedelic in music is the tracks that help you to find Neverland.
Like you see everythink is about drugs.
What is psychedelic or trippy when you haven't take nothink?

well for me somehow.. not much sense maybe trippy is small and compressed as psychodelic is the fullon ryhems big fluffy and full. i definatly prefer the trippy sounds that you can find more in progressive lets say all the little quirks. another example for me loopus in fabula is more about the psy and maybe scs or bbe is more trippy... srange answer to strage topic |

well, isn't in simple terms Trippy when a (we are talking music here after all) track is eXtremly playful and twisted with many motions and turns? While psychedelic is trance inducing (state of mind trance music) .. oh well. Just wanted to push the thread up.
I guess it's like champagne/sparkly wine - Cognac/Brandy

trippy is sort of like a specific word describing something psychedelic to me..like i'd say dark psy is trippy, hallucinogen is psychdelic..if that makes any sense..
or maybe trippy is relating the thing it's describing to a more specific acid type of experience, where psychedelic is sort of a more peaceful, all-knowing-ish state of the mind..

what a contextual question?
i suppose there is no "true" real correct answer....
but for me.... "trippy" is very "experimental" ......."outlandish" and 'out there sounding'..........
and "psychodelic" for me..........is more of a supplemental aspect to the genre.....the foundation of trance is the beats (IMO)........."psychodelic" 'sounds'are the added elements....... some of the characteristics could for me are "twisted", "distorted" and "mindbending" sounds.......
driving beats....... with deep and hypnotic bass lines ..... with "psychodelic" sounds is for me what makes me happy.......
