Artists Biography

::HUX FLUX::

Dennis Tapper founded Hux Flux after being inspired by the now legendary
forest parties outside of Örebro in Sweden and is considered as the true
originators of the Swedish psychedelic trance sound and many have attempted to copy their unique sound but none have come close...
Soon after the first release in 1998, Dennis was joined by Jonas Pettersson (later to form Logic Bomb), which resulted in the extremely successful debut album "Cryptic Crunch" in 1999 on the just as legendary label Koyote
Records. Later Dennis moved to Stockholm and started producing with his old friend Henrik Fietz.The first release from the partnership was the now classic track, "Idiot", featured on the "A Progress in Trance" compilation
on Transient Records. After a few sporadic releases on various labels Hux Flux released the single "Lex Rex Perplex/ Errorhead" on Spiral Trax and plans for an album were made. However due to unfortunate circumstances the
work had to be postponed for nearly a year, majorly thanks to his first child being born. Finally, after many delays and problems, the longed for second album, "Division by Zero" has been releases on Spiral Trax.
After this album there has again been a long silence due to Dennis his 2nd child being born in February 2006. In the meantime he has still managed to work on a few tracks in his home studio and has now moved his studio
into the center of Stockholm with lots of plans for future releases. One of the
first jewels out of his new collection is the "Post 100" you can find on the release of Mind Funk Music, called "Complex Cosmic Creation"
Dennis and Henrik will be playing live all new,unreleased tunes they have composed recently in the studio,make sure you dont miss the psychedelic expierence !

::CHROMATONE::

Through deeply spiritual and emotional connections to his music and an intrinsic understanding of audio manipulation, Chromatone has become one of the most powerful emerging voices in psy-trance today. His masterful employment of intricate sound-scapes and multi-textured layers take listeners on journey after epic journey through the uncharted territories of
the human mind and soul...Chromatone is Lawrence Hoffman, a SanFrancisco
native who has been producing electronic music for over a decade. Working as
a professional audio consultant, producer, engineer, he is also doing mastering for many labels: Vaporvent, Peak Rec, Geomagnetic.tv, Mind Funk, Noise Poison, Drop Out, plus a growing list of clients. After training in visual arts with the legendary Doctor Spook they produced the Video : Chromatone -Mightochondria released on the successful Geomagnetic "Magnus" and "VirtualVortex" DVDs. As VJ Dr. Hoffman he has done projected visuals at several events. A local favorite in San Francisco, Chromatone has blasted at countless parties in the U.S. and Mexico with other top shelf international acts. At Burning Man Festivals 2003 and 2005 Chromatone performed unprecedented live sets in true 8-channel surround sound. In 2004 Chromatone played the huge Zoom Festival in Zurich and at the Boom Festival in Portugal, with Crazy Lions Cult (Neuromotor vs. Hyper Frequencies),then the Full Moon 2005. 2006 was a busy year for him as he did a 6 month Europe tour and was booked once again for playing at the Boom Festival as Chromatone on the main stage and as Morphonix at the chill out stage.After releasing four tracks on King Records Japan, Lawrence compiled the CD "Vaporize" for his own label VaporVent.Then working in France with Mechanik records to produce, mix, and master the double compilation,MechanikCastle.
Back in SanFrancisco, many collaborations with his studio partner Random produced releases including tracks on Spun,Acidance and Timecode records and after releasing his debut album as Chromatone named "Chromaconnection" which had great feedback from allover the world.Expect new tunes from Lawrence whos been touring Europe already a couple of months and has gathered
some dancefloor bombs,not to mention the 2nd Chromatone album...

::MORPHONIX::

Lawrence Hoffman aka Chromatone is behind this project.Described as a unique hybrid of atmospheric breaks and electro and after recieving great feedback from his performance at the previous Boom Festival,Lawrence got in the studio to compose his debut album which will be out soon on Vaporvent records.Lawrence will be performing an exclusive live set of the new morphonix tunes on the 14th of April,make sure you coming early so you dont miss it...

::Colin::

As part of the seminal psytrance acts OOOD and Unconscious Collective (not to mention the acclaimed Voice of Cod), Colin has access to a huge and incredibly varied selection of grade-A dancefloor filling tracks, both released and unreleased. With over 12 years-worth of original material in many styles with many collaborators - including many written in the past two years alone - he has the back-catalogue to play at any time of day or night.Notoriously label-shy until OOOD's recent association with Organic Records, a great deal of this cutting-edge music can only be heard in his live or DJ sets, which include both recent and classic tracks from other artists
who major in deeply funky, compulsively psychedelic music. Whether it's a night-time or a warm-up slot, chillout or main room, Colin has the tracks and is not afraid to use them!

::Steve::

Stephen Callaghan was been DJing since 1987, after discovering Acid House parties in 1986. Since then his sets have been heard at many parties, festivals and events all over the world including India, Japan, the US, Switzerland, Israel, France and Ireland.In the UK he has DJd at countless parties over the past two decades including Tribe of Frog, Return To The Source, Otherworld, Escape From Samsara, Science Fiction, Transmission , Datura, and various free parties.He loves and DJs many genres of music but when talking about trance, he has a particular fondness for full-on psychedelia,progressive and chillout,depending on what mushrooms he had for breakfast; "psychedelic and uplifting without being cheesy" is how he descibes his style. As a previous label DJ for Flying Rhino Records in their heyday and a founding member of seminal psytrance act OOOD, he continues to help shape the genre with his recent work.
Steve says: "Free your mind and let your freak flag fly!"

::Dick Trevor::

Dick Trevor started making music while at college doing sound engineering. He and Matt Coldrick teamed up and had a go at making a trance track which TIP bought straight away ,from then on they became the Green Nuns of the Revolution. They made tracks for most of the english labels then and various compilations,releasing only one album on Flying Rhino. After a couple of years making music together they teamed up with keyboard player Neil Cowley who was then playing with the Brand New Heavies and he started to put more funk into the music. They did many gigs around the world with live guitar and keyboards and sometimes an extra percussionist,going for the rock n roll performance. They even did a video for MTV which can be seen in the video section of Dick Trevors Myspace (it was a while ago...!!). The nuns went their separate ways in 98 and Dick started to produce music with many different people. Within the Flying Rhino stable the Bumbling Loons was formed with James Monro and Slinky Nuns/Seeka with george barker. On Twisted records Dick did collaborations with Simon Posford as Infernal Machine and Tristan as Trickster.He also did a Western Rebel Alliance remix with Jules Evans(producer/fisherman) for the Shpongle Remix album. On Phantasm there were collaborations with Chris Boing as the Bisto Boys and John Ford as Mindfield/Bisto Boys and then more recently with John's son Junya (eskimo)as Jumanji of which an album is coming later this year on Nano. Dick also teamed up with Jon Om who used to run Aquatec Records and formed Green Oms,they released an album on Dragonfly a couple of years ago.Away from the trance scene Dick teamed up with Danny Howells and started Science Dept having successful releases on John Digweeds label Bedrock(Repercussion,Persuasion) and then on Renaissance Records (Breathe) which got into the UK top 60.They have also released Kinkyfunk on Deep Dish's label Yoshitoshi in the US which was a big hit on the progressive scene.Then after that they Mumbo Jumbo on Transient Records under the name Annarchy Rhythm v. Dickster. Dick and Anna (Annarchy) have also released on Nano Records and Liquid & Solid Records from Serbia and also another new project of theirs is with George Barker (Flying Rhino,Slinky Wizzard) which is more progressive trance, with their first release Eargate on Iboga Records 'Hibernation' compilation, along with a collaboration of Dick with James Monro. There have also been other collaborations with Cosmosis, Pogo(Wingmakers) and Lucas (TIP). In between producing music Dick has managed to get going on the dj scene playing all around the globe since 98 but his main love is actually writing the music and there is plenty more to come!
Dick Trevor will be spinning all new tunes from his Dickster and AMD which is his new project together with Jules aka Aphidmoon,the album was recently released on Nano records and their live act was described as one of the best,if not the best at Universo Parallelo festival in Brazil.One of the best DJs around back again in Athens!
