**LA's FIRST EVER PSYTRANCE HAPPY HOUR**
Come for the food and drinks, stay for the dancing.
Full-on psytrance, dinner, and drinks, starting early,
going late!
Come as you are, come straight after work, have dinner or an appetizer & some drinks & stomp your ass off to a full night of banging trance! Bring your friends & co-workers!!!
This is the very first trance happy hour in L.A. If it goes well, then we'll try to find a venue to host this more often!
6:30PM until 2:00AM
Free before 8PM, only $3 after.
@ Little Pedro's Blue Bongo
901 E. First St.
Los Angeles, CA
(1 block east of Alameda on First, near the river.)
DIREX: From the 101 freeway, exit Alameda, go south on Alameda (towards downtown)
turn left onto First St. - it's at the next light! Free parking behind the Bongo or on the street.
Happy hour drink specials, dinner & snack menu
until 10:30PM.
Bring your friends from work! You don't have to
accept that "Oh, I can't stay out that late!"

Thanks Wendy this was very enjoyable. I had to come late but I stayed late and the music and atmosphere were superb. as usual Johnny rocked my shit.

I'm super glad you came out. Thanks for coming to our first trance happy hour! We had a really good turnout and the vibe was cookin from start to finish!
THANKS to all the DJs, VJ Eniac, and all the friends who contributed decorations & Paul, our MVP who just happened to have a projector to lend when Eniac's broke!
I would love to do more of these happy hour clubs. Just gotta find another venue - maybe rotate around - L.A., the valley, the west side...just an idea. |

YES!!! I most DEFINITELY want to do something in the valley!
I want to put this challenge to the L.A./valley trance community: find us a venue so that we can do a happy hour at least bi-monthly!
That's really all we need to do this thing. The right venue for an early party...

What would stop me? availability of the venue is all...we got last Thursday for our Happy Hour trance club because it was the 5th Thursday in July. The Blue Bongo is booked 4 thursdays every month already...so my friend Mary, who has been working with the owners to promote thier restaurant business, got to have a club there that night. My friend Gary (San Francisco) was the one with the idea- he told me when he met me, because he wanted me to be a resident when he started one here in L.A. I told Mary (Dance Or Else) about it - she loved the idea. When the owners of Blue Bongo gave her last Thursday to have a party, she called me and asked me to handle the DJ lineup & a few other things...that's how it all happened.
We're very pleased with the results, and I personally would love to do at least a bi-monthly (weeklies are alot of hard work and time)...
We need to find a venue with a good night available, such as Thursday or Friday, that will let us start early and go all the way to closing.
Ultimately, I'd love to do one in the valley, then alternate with either L.A. or the west side.

So you think every 5th Thursday is open for you at Blue Bongo? It would be cool like you say to have it there like every 5th Thursday and 2 weeks later have it somewhere else! |
