Psy in Dubai – What went wrong?????

Hey guys the Psy scene took off really well in Dubai but it seems to have lost its steam along the way…..what happened??? It’s really great that people are promoting Psy trance by having gigs every Friday but I don’t think it’s going to work out, for the simple reason that there aren’t too many of us Psy-heads around to make up the numbers every Friday night. For example the Paul Taylor had a huge crowd because it was the first, then Free Ath happened and the crowd shrank a bit and after awhile the whole Psy scene is nearly dying out or dead….what’s the solution guys?? I had a freaking blast at the 2 shows I went for and I look forward to many more so please let’s do something about it.
Personally I think there should be just 1-2 gigs per month where all the Psy-heads can meet up and have something to look forward 2.
Any more suggestions.....!!!!!

I think angeldust is right.
We should restrict ourselves to not more than 2 parties a month.
There are a couple of things stopping us from getting the nights back on.
Firstly it's summer, and not alot of ppl are here. Secondly, The previous nights all had international dj's, so the economics of doing a night with local talent Psinide somehow doesn't match up.
But fuck the economics, we're gonna do it anyways. No dates yet, the club wants to do it with a proper marketing follow-up to the event, so most likely it should be from the start of next month.
In the meantime, be mean, be nasty, and remain a freak of nature. There is nothing that can take that away from you. You were born a twisted psycho, and life has added to that experience. Keep filling others lives with fright and terror, and live the dream (or nightmare) |

yah .. fukk the economics ... but im sure we can come up with something to rokk the joint ...
nothing this month as was talked about with abhi but next month for sure ... off cosurse having an international dj/artist makes a shit load of difference than having a local dj play (im no friggin local ... wudnt wanna be a local... hehehe)... mebe we might just come up with somthing before that and might just have an international artist come here for an opening nite for us ... but lets see ...

Hey its simple, scene has to be promoted efficiently, people should know about it, experience it, n as i always say, brilliance is always accepted, i m personally planning to do a international scene soon in dubai, with huge promotions, and mostly an outdoor somewhere close to winter. |

In Dubai, the freeaatmah gig happened on a wednesday night ... imo ... wednesday is not the correct night for Psychedelia in Dubai ... the boombaba and karan gig happened on a thursday and that attracted many people ... i guess the orgs are on a summer vacation for the now ... thats it ... i dont think the scene has shrunk ... on the controry ... its got the push and direction it really needed ... so wait for the start of the new season in dubai . When you have Therapy and psynide on your side ... you got nothing to worry ... trance is in good responsible hands, in Dubai.

nice enthu ......i like the PLUR in dubai...
man .. every"1" has a point outhere!!-serioulsy......
and honestly speakin... psy is not dyin outhere! on the contrary ... it's growing... i can say easily about 10 buddies of mine who were into house musik and some who were lost... is as of now ... COMPLETELY LOST... thanx to paul taylor, freeatmah,karan and boombay!! man ... right now ... literaly all my buddies r into psy big time... and tht itself is a sign tht says... this culture(not as a whole) is goin to BOOM in dubai!!!
like freeatmah said - v got some good orgz.... and looks like more comin in .. and man ... tht itself is a good sign .. all i want is . is there any way we could reach out to all da psy heads in and around dubai .. man .... honeslty .. there r more psy heads in dubai thn which came for da gigs!! i can guaranttee tht... cause... whnever i go clubbin... i bum into someone or the other... and thy come up to me and ask me if i am into PSY..... cause of my dancing style... but yea!!
i guess.. isra is a really good medium of reachin da masses.. but i guess ... we need to reach out to a lot more!!!! no one is postin in dubailook anymore... the more pple keep talkin about it. the more thy would be like... intersted!! man ..... i knw ... our culture is not for every tom dick or harry ... and it is not meant to get poluted.. but dude.... i guess... in dubai ... it's a good spot to promote it .. cause firstly .. it's clean & safe( u knw whd i mean - atleast it looks like) and everything would be around the psy cutlure!!! which is somethin totally rad to the dXb crowd!!!
i jus hope .... things go wel as the organisers planned it .. and thy jus keep cumin up with surprises.. and yea!! i guess after the summers r done.. and the party season starts bac in spetember.... i jus hope ... we go FULL ON .... and yea.. there would be no stopping!!! t
rust me ... if all of us join hands... and put our efforts to this..... we goin to be the only MIDDLE EASTERN country to be on da psy map and have our own section on isra!!! hahahha

max is too bizi doing his own thing ... and all three of us have been trying to get things going ...
but now hopefully in the first week of august we have parties coming your way ....
enough time for us to promote our party here and with other ppl who dont know abt isra ...
but anyway ... not to worry ppl ... we will have some killers coming ur way ...
