yes indeed^ ..well loosely , its a Hindu symbol for good luck and happy beginnings , good vibes etc .. and it`s existed for thousands and thousands of years before the invention of the messerscmitts . be cool

This is definitely amongst the best releases of 2008 already A very good CD overall. The Derango's have left me speechless & i know i will be listening to the tracks for a long long time. The Maniac Bubbles ooze with energy & are filled with intricate patterns, fractals. Psilo Cowboys also prove to be a nice treat for morning hours and i will definitely keep an eye out for all artists on this CD. The tracks that really did it for me are:

swastika is a symbol used among various religions of india (hinduism, jainism and some times even buddhism)
the swastika is a metaphor for the cycle of life with each of the four quadrants symbolising a certain stages i.e. 1.hellish beings, 2.plants & animals, 3.human beings and 4. heavenly beings.
These are the stages that souls will alternate between due to their accumulated karma and the whole idea of this metaphor(the swastika symbol) is to remind us of the ultimate goal which is to break this cycle of life and death by achieving moksha.,

Sory for again mentioning abot the swastika isue but i had to post these message because it has a very nice explanation about it:
I feel that it is important to inform those who do not know the real purpose of the Swastika so that they do not make rash and totally unfounded prejudicial opinions about people who use it as a sacred religious symbol. It isn't my fault that the Nazi political party mis-used it for political reasons. It had nothing to do with the 100's of millions of Hindus who considered it sacred at the time. Why should they or I not use it because someone else misused it?
Take the following fictional example: Say that some obscure political party in Asia begins using the Star of David as their politcal symbol. They read the Jewish scripture and self proclaim themselves to be a lost tribe of Isreal. Their party raises to power and builds one of the strongest armies in the world. They strike out to conquer the world. In the wake they feel that all Hindu's are less then human, they are non-Jews, so they attempt to exterminate them. Millions of Hindus are mercilessly tortured and killed, all under the flag of the Star of David (which is a religious symbol used by Jews). Meanwhile, the Jews themselves and Isreal have no connection what so ever with this politcal power who use the Star of David as their political symbol. The army is defeated, but the world now equates the Star of David, not as a religious sacred symbol, but only as the political symbol used by this political power and the symbol then becomes despised by the whole world (except Isreal). It wouldn't be fair to the Jewish people -would it? They would want to continue the use of their sacred symbol and they would not want people to associate them with this political group simply because they do use it.
That is my position in regards to the Swastika.
The word Swastika is Sanskrit. Hitler and the leaders of the Nazi party studied the Vedic scriptures. That does not make the Vedas bad. Has no bad man ever studied the Bible, Qu'ran or Torah? Hitler never promoted himself as a Religious figure. He looked to the Vedas not as religious texts, but as mystical texts from which he wanted to extract mystical supernatural powers. The Swastika is used in Vedic rituals to invoke success (also peace and prosperity). It is considered to be an auspicious symbol. Hitler's party used it thinking it would give them some mystic power of success. What Hitler and his party did not know is that it is intended to invoke spiritual success and peace, not materialistic power of domination and destruction. They misunderstood and misused it.
Just because they have misused it, does that mean that all people from then and onward who wish to follow the Vedas have to cease from using it? That is absurd. Rather, it is our duty to inform those who don't know what the true use and purpose of it is.
Personally, I have no intent of offending anyone by it's use. But, for those of us who use it in its proper religious context, it is offensive to be asked not to use it. I am only using it to invoke spiritual auspiciousness. Om Tat Sat.
I hope this information has been enlightening to those who read it.
(these is a letter from a person who was also attacked because of using swastika)
