How is it going to be a strange mix of styles? Bufo is quite psychedelic and twisted for a progressive act, and with a talented DJ afterwards who can make a good transition to Fragletrollet, I'm sure it can work very well.
Won't be able to make it to the party myself, but wish you guys the best of luck and a great party

We wanted to make a musical progress throughout the whole evening, so it wouldn't be the same style of music all night. It goes all the way from some edgy electro house to some true dark psychedelic music.. It should be a rather good experience for everybody!
The lineup is as following:
22.00-23.00 kiwi (Electro House/Progressive)
23.00-00.00 Mental Agenda (Progressive/Psytrance)
00.00-01.30 Bufo (Progressive)
01.30-03.00 Woos (Psychedelic)

Well, in order for it to be truly psychedelic it requires for the music to be, hmm, well, psychedelic. And that's a matter of personal opinion...
IMO it's gonna be a strange transisition from Bufo to Fragletrollet with a 1½ hours DJ-set in the middle. Have you listened to Fragletrollet?? It's pretty far away from anything progressive
Eventhough you want something for everyone, and nothing wrong with that I like the mentality in it, but it's like having Mew to play 1½hour before Metallica because it's both defined in the big genre called rock.
It's not impossible to make a strange and wierd night with a lot of change in the flow even though it's the same genre playing all night, it's just a matter of picking people in the same subgenre to play.

That's where the DJ comes in. If it was me, I would probably start playing some of the harder stuff by Sensient, Praecox and the likes, follow it up with older CreamCrop stuff, possibly some Paps and Tripiatrik, and from there the road is open to finising the set with dark psy. Such a transition can easily be done in 1½ hour, and it's only one of many possible solutions. DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase

So what you are saying is, that what it all comes down to, in the end, is taste ?
In this case, the organizer clearly has a vision, almost artistic, I think its important they follow that vision, instead of making another "Copy Paste" party, with a straightforward flow structure.
In regards to progressive, you would be surprised what a good dj can do. I have tracks, which I call "progressive", that go up untill 150 BPM - Ever heard of Tristan ?
In any case, at mutation, the electrobeat event @ 17/11-06, I took the trancefloor from 137 BPM tech trance (starting with industrial breakbeats actually), to 146 bpm dark full on/psy, and aparrently people loved it.
So, yes, it can be done. Whether it will work for protoned or not, I cant say, but I salute their effort at doing something different. If you dont try, you never succeed...
In things psychedelic, strange is good
