hi there 
just wondering what do you guys think that lead to the progressive trance parties today only have progressive artists and psy parties only psy acts. i see a lot of people that only likes one style of trance, but at the same time lots of people who just like good music no matter if its psy, dark, or progressive.
i think that parties with a better mix of trance styles would gather more people, instead of separating each day even more of them who used to belong to the same circuit and now almost seems that like a diferent style of music.
what do you trance people think of this? |

What's a psy party? Psy party = full on party to you? To me far bigger percentage of progressive trance is psychedelic while on full on it's really close to 0%. Maybe psychedelic progressive trance fans are more critical about their music? Or maybe full on is just selling a hell of a lot better and organizers only book good selling full on acts to their events, while on the other hand people who organize progressive psytrance parties only want to hear what they like?

well i guess you´re right about the booking organizers, that´s one big reason.
but when i say psychedelic yes i mean full on, i´m not saying progressive or dark aren´t psychedelic, just used that term to define it. |

again diversity is good actully i wouldnt mind to go to a party that combine tech trance prog and even fullon but at the right time and amount but if there is no fullon in a party that is better |

A party should consist of several genres in order to avoid people getting bored when they hear the same bpm all night long.

yes a good mix of styles in a party would defenitly gather more people..but the truth is mutants are there and they are very real
well i got out of context, but i see in a good way a party gather more musical types...why just a party with full on?or another with progressive?maybe it is cause people are always claiming that the sound they hear is better than the other, so 2 a party promotor who likes full on he must defend is musical genre..that this is the only real sound etc etc..and all that bullshit of a wide closed eyes person...hurray 2 the mixure

Most of the progressive you hear nowadays isn't psychedelic either, very fluffy (not that it's bad it's just not psychedelic)... Hikkomori - black ops, is a perfect psychedelic progressive tune, but really how many tunes like this are released nowadays...?... The fact is that the only genre where your mind is being played with constantly (a psychedelic experience) is Psy-chill-out...

It's just much rarer; you have to listen to a much higher percentage of trance in order to find an artist which is truly psychedelic…
