no im not nuts, I just dont have the same definition of progressive as you.. you must think of progressive as in progressive trance..

I think as progressive in a broad way, which includes many genres that blend in with progressive without a fixed border... some of the house/tech house that mau mau plays is also played by cross-over prog djs in the scene..

and if the guy who wrote the thread is open to these more ´outer´ genres, then he should definitely check out Mau Mau, who is the best brazilian dj that I heard so far, both in terms of music selection and mixing (maybe marky is a better mixer actually, but I dont like d.n.b and he very rarely plays house)

Sherlock.... I really do not agreee with you.... but... you know.. This is my opinion... By the Way, i also think that Mau Mau is a great dj... But for me, people here in the forum tend to label everything below 140 bpm as progressive music, which i can not agree...

Cheers.

Oxyd is an excelent prog psy project, but Rodrigo also produces prog house by the name RC, great music, fuckin groove! Beto aka Spectral Skunk produces some kind of prog minimal (sorry, I couldnt find another word to his experimental sound), Addictive the project... pay attention to this guys!           Think for yourself and question authority!

yotopia is more like full on with some prog influences...

and xibalba is quite of the usual prog psy which is so common... nothing special.. like gaudium and so many others.. quite boring..

freq was very nice back in the begining of 2004, when it was releasing some tracks in compilations, until it released the full cd... after that, all tracks started being too much of the same... (but then the cold nights freq remix came out, and gave me hopes again, since it was so different from his usual stuff)

(in my opinion, of course )
