you know what, i wrote you a response, but i think this is the point where enough is enough, not gonna post it. please just don't assume that colin or myself for that matter just rant and never help or whatever you implied.

again apologies to OP if things came out too harsh.

I'm sorry but the point of a forum is having people discuss ideas. You seem to have a problem with accepting that not everyone thinks the same as you.

I'm going to say it again: OP was kind enough to simply share with us some production ideas that he thinks might be useful for some. Those among us who don't think it's good or useful can at least go the extra mile and explain why or contribute some alternative, no? The point here is being constructive while keeping in mind, maybe there's a lot going on this very forum that's a lot worse then people sharing thoughts, or isn't that so? some of them are pretty active here.

And if this turns out to feel like a big circus, then we might as well just burn this down and use some alternatives where ego fights and gear lust is the norm - like gear sluts, but there's plenty more around -; 'cause what's the point?

It doesn't even matter if you think the information is worthy or not. It has to do with respect. So yeah, I don't mind standing up to this. Not at all. When most of the threads here have been constantly deviated by people who are only looking for fights and utter garbage talks. So think twice about what you agree with and who you're agreeing with and who you really feel mad about. It's very clear to anyone who's paying attention. Myself, I've always helped here where I could and I also stand for that. Feel free to check and search and what you will. But being honest and keeping an open mind requires a certain context, one that doesn't look like this imo.

and you should really give it a deep thought: do you even like making music? or do you just get a thrill out of saying bad things about people who're serious about it while you're not?

should I also feel bad about saying what's obvious here? I'm willing to bet a thousand dollars here that you couldn't put a song next to OP's without feeling ashamed, but we have to put up with your opinions in every single thing. Saying bad things about people that know a lot more then you doesn't make you better then them, just makes you look like an ass.

Worse then that, is that no one is bothering to do anything about it.

what's the problem?

you know guys, I think there's no point sharing information when you can just go and buy faxi's sample packs or courses. just make it easy on yourself and do it, you're to clicks away from being as good as he is, provided you have a paypal account.

that's really helpful. but you don't get to talk down on me you piece of shit. I'm being serious about this and think this is more serious then your ego or mine. this is a forum with plenty of good stuff and lately looks like a fucking circus. but have it your way

you criticize me and what i say and said, but use the same methods you hated seeing from me yourself.

you state i don't get to talk down on you, but you talk down on me, you say its bigger than your ego but you are making an obvious attempt to somehow hurt mine.

if you are entitled to your opinion and are into sharing knowledge and conceptions, then you have to accept that beyond the technical side there is the artistic side, and what colin said or what i said are valid artistic arguments.

now if you must make the connection to me (though you said it is not about ego), then the difference here we are not offering you a "blueprint", we are offering you clay to mold (samples) and technical knowledge to use (modular). and about asking for money, you know what, for what we give you, it is almost robbery, the amounts of time spent here on music tools are in zero proportion to what we get back from it. if you have cash for a glass of vodka at a party, you have cash for the samples, and it is your call if you rather this or that. don't make it look like we are asking people for the world.

you can learn about art, about how to mix paints and how to use the tools right? but if you ask piccaso for his "blueprint" and he tells you, after so and so inches i put the eye, after so and so the mouth, and then i make a big circle around it, well you didn't learn anything, except how to copy him.

that is all.

now if you are willing, and like you said it is important to you that topics here stay cool and about music, i am willing to lay down the arms. your call.

I agree with most of what you say here, if not all of it.

got a little carried away, so have you. doesn't matter. i wasn't obviously speaking about either yours or Colin's contribution here. it should be obvious?!

on the other hand, I'm pretty sure you know what I'm talking about here 'cause you had some of it on the thread about the modular you just started. you just took things personal when it wasn't aimed at you, not one bit.

I think I have a point saying the things I said. I don't thing it's a bad thing that you're selling samples or courses at all, I also have to make some money myself and know how things work and shouldn't have said that, ok?

besides, I have a degree in Fine Arts - Painting and Graphic Design. My hobby, music, turned into the thing I do most of the time, a big part of it involves money as well, so yeah, so I don't quite match the student profile, if you know what I mean. I know you have to make money to keep doing what you like the most, I do it as well.

I don't think sharing ways of doing things is bad or threatens anyone's creativity or artistic vision. on the contrary
