there was awhile back talking about SA producers being not very interested in sharing development etc (cant remember the thread, think it was the young producers one...)

anyway i have a bit of a plan, tell me what you all think

We can start a producers "guild" open to all South African producers, signed, unsigned, serious, non-serious....

Obviously i am in CT, and everyone is all over the place, but each city can get together and we can all link up over the net.

The aims will be for producers to get together...share production techniques, (apps ) and samples etc...

basically just network, learn and have a good time...and build a strong production comunnity which is unified

obviously this is just an idea for now...but what do you all think?

also can some on BOM, post a link to this thread for me. shot.

i know....

there is lank production advice all over the net...

have a look a the production part of isratrance, which imho is alot better them BOM

however that isnt the point of what i am suggesting...

there is a difference between reading something and participation between like-intrested people.....

so do you think it is a crap idea caligula?

no, i don't.. i think its a great idea. i think the scene could benifit from more people getting together personally and exchanging production advice rather than over the net..           difficile est non saturam scribere

Hey, guys.

There already is something like this which incapsulates audio engineering as a whole... producing... recording.. etc...

it's called the Guild of Audio Professionals of South Africa.

check out www.gapsa.org.za. You can register online and you can apply for membership to attend the meetings at a small fee.

Peace.           Mind my mind.

Alien Safari used to have something similar.... a coupla years ago.... a producer's get together.

but it was more like a stoner network session.

was cool though.

          Mind my mind.

..or we could start some kind of online 'chatroom' where people discuss psytrance, and all things related to the genre. perhaps it could be sorted into different topics, or even countries..           difficile est non saturam scribere
