Hi there !!

I have got to talk about them !
First, it was because of them that I started to listen to eletronic music.
I went to their concert up in Rio de Janeiro, and OH GOD, they almost teared the place apart !
I had never seen something like special light effects, even paints, and lights up on stage done that way.... they really changed concepts...

I bought all their albums, and im sure i started to have a better ear for this type of music after all....

From emusic, i always listened to Enya, and some new age names, but I didnt know another name to call it other than ´´new age´´...

Im now up to trance for almost 2 years, and became a Chill Out ´´Dj``, for more than a year now, here in Brasil, Brasilia.

I say ´´Dj´´ , I think because I always had some good musical ``taste``, just learned how to operate a cdj, but i really dont consider myself a Dj, which is a big responsability.

But as for the Chill Out, since its not as hard to play as trance, and altogether with my ´´good songs´´ I think im doing a pretty good job already...

Of course that living from music is a completly different thing than just playing for fun, which is my case, but i look up for new songs, talk to other Chill out djs here in Brazil quite often and... well... I wish i could be doing this for many festivals to come...

Prodigy is responsible for really changing my point of view to this type of music, emusic, I really wish there were remixes with them for the chill out....
Madonna is another artist that, yes, its much more discussable to this point, but indeed, she has been the artist with most remixes from most djs ever, and she has incredible videos that could be seen on big festivals, not only with her portrait or herself on them, but really trippy ones.... You guys from Europe could check it out, easier than what it is for me to do it here, from Brazil...

Well , hope you all can see the point here, which is, not only trance artist deserve some recognition , due to their effort on making music , but they were, for sure, pioneers and the ones who really opened doors for other music styles to come and be to be easier for them to be accepted all around the world !

Love , respect , PEACE !!!

BOOM

BRAIN !!!!!
          we´ll get there...
Vai dar tempo....

The only person who does any writin for the prodigy is Liam Howlett. Everyone else is just there to give the audience someting interesting to look at.
As for them not releasing anyting for a while, Liam's made quite a bit of money since Charly (their first mainstream hit), and spends much of his time, in his essex mansion, amusing himself with an All Saint.
They recently put out "baby's got a temper", but it kinda flopped when everyone realised they'd just released a Fat of the Land out-take.
I really love the prodigy, and have done since the pre-charly days, my favourite track being non of the album releases, but the original version of everybody in the place, which was on one of their white labels, it's really dark and industrial, but was made around '91-'92.

The last I heard, all of the members had plans to release solo albums, except liam, who is trying to get into film score composing (apparently, his first commission was for a zero gravity porn film, which sounds about right!)

Peace & Love from Liverpool :¬)           Don't let anyone stop you dreaming. You can never put a rope around the neck of an idea, you cannot fill it with bullets, you cannot confine it in the strongest cell your slaves could ever build.

All this talk of the Prodigy and no-one has mentioned Experience, their first album the one which helped kickstart the acidhouse scene in Britain which in turn led eventually to psy-trance.

I'd like to add that i've never experienced anything that comes close to Prodigy Live experience. No band can perform and thrill the crowd like them. Everybody who has attraction to electronic music should experience it atleast once in a lifetime. They are back with live shows now to promote their upcoming and highly anticipated album (it's been exactly 6 years since FOTL released), so if you live in Europe than do yourself a favor and go to see the live show, you won't regret.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me
