so i dragged my ass down to cape town, went to vortex/prism this year, got the t shirt, did the party, got friggin dirty, did myself in well and proper for the new year but to my amazement, did not take as many photos as i wanted ....
they dont have an official website, alien safari has only uploaded party pics i went to LAST YEAR only recently !!!! <so cant count on them i mean>
so where can i download some more pics from the festival??? <and not wait a year before doing so> |

I don't think that vortex really allowed anybody to take photos at the party...
I think they weren't very impressed with most photographers.. for some strange reason.
A party should be celebrated... photos should be taken.... and the joy should be seen.. not concealed away from the world...

cool thank u! oopsie i wasnt aware that photos werent allowed to be taken...thats a bit of an odd limitation i must say. not that that wouldve actually stopped me...
i document every interesting place and event i go to, why should a trance festival be any different?? |

Yeah...
Well... I know for a fact that a friend of mine who does photo's for a website was warned not to take photos....
It's really strange.. it's a party.... a part of our lives... and should be celebrated..

Following a large discussion on one of the SA sites, a surprising number of people had a lot to say about it. The only pics that I have seen on the web are quite dismal in quality and not even worth mentioning here. Basically I am against broadcasting pics showing people's faces on the web against their consent (for hopefully obvious reasons). I am not against more general pictures showing the party as a whole. One person has been fired when her boss saw her picture in the paper at a trance party, so be a little sensitive, there are good reasons.

yes i understand that... im not about to blackmail someone with them... just general shots of the party, the venue, the decor, the atmosphere...not future mugshots!! |
