Well... i have some things to say about this party:
-Ambient- Was very strange at night.. with much "comic figures": man in boxers, fight at dance floor... But after 14h00 it turned very good, and ppl finally smiled!
-Place- It looked like it was a last minute choice.. it was nice, but there was no river and the park space was very small...
But.. finally i have one question to Omium.. why didn't you let Goa Gil play more at the dance floor... like he asked to Diogo?.. I saw it, and i saw Diogo took the cables and didnt let him play no more...
Last year Goa Gil came to a party organized by old Good Mood and it was a killer party, Goa Gil played until 21h00 !!
I know GoodMood is over, and the mood seens to be down and in Omium only are the capitalists that think "why spend more $$ with fuel to the generater if we already have the money!!"
It really makes me wonder, because when the party really began to be nice they ended it!!
And i want to know if I'm the only one that thinks like this..

Well i was there and i must say i liked it very much , but only by the fact i saw many good friends. About the org , i must admit that the soundsystem was a bit poor for that amount of people , the rest was ok .... maybe a lack of decor for the morning! About Goa Gil well i must say that it really disapointed me ... what a lack of groove(my legs where stuck in the ground for hours) ... he's not a dj ...cause a dj tries to please people and adapts to the crowd...well now im sure that is just a mith nothing else( and plz correct me if im wrong , but if any other dj played that kind of sound , people would send him away). But anyway people made the party and was nice because of that!

i totally agree with khopat goa gil only is "the" goa gil bc of the marketing around him, bc he sucks, and is any other dj played as he plays people would say he suck! anyway it was a nice party, lots of friends, but it was pretty scary at night with all those weird faces.. uuuh

I've never seen so many drugged people in my entire life. Ugly intoxicated faces (3 or 4 went to the hospital, as USUAL), bad music and horrible mixing!
Trance in Portugal is just getting better and better... |

After reading this posts i couldn't believe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1.where were u my friensd when the psy trance began?do u know that was goa gil and friends who started it?so,don't u think that probably he is right?repect the master like he does by taking d for the of our lives. 2.i also think that this users want the typical la-la-la-la-a.the master is60 or more years old and has always shown what's the psy sounds thru the years.now i ask u my friends,what have u done? 3.well,the party had a meaning and i guess that u don't understud.u went to partys to see what ppl take and what drugs they take?and u?don t take it? 4.the spot was nice.simple and nice deco and the true meaning and concept of party was there. thank u Master for the journey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to interupt your conversation but Goa Gil is nothing more than musician and dj, when performer can't entertain crowd, crowd can respect him but doesn't need to pay him for doing nothing. |

master of what ??? most expensive dj with the worst skills in the world?? yeah is the master of that... he is also probaly the master of chillums while doing nothing being the desks....
in fact that guy is the real master of commercial... people still think he s like a gourou that will enlighten people's life while he s just a man using all these spiritual clichés to take a huge enveloppe of money everywhere he plays...

here in moscow many thousand people came to hear goa gil, i was among them.
while many people say they liked a lot the music and it was the best party of the year - i am still sure i never want to hear the master again...
i respect what he did for the trance culture, but here i am with khopat when he says "what a lack of groove(my legs where stuck in the ground for hours)". same thing happened to me and i just coudlnt believe that this is a myth himself in front of us... he seemed to enjoy though. and many speed freaks as well heheh. so it proves once again how subjective judgements are in this world of illusions  )) and no more gurus!! i would appreciate unknown dj or artist to make me dance and he/she would totally rock my world, no legends necessary!
i like "dark night psy trance" or whatever these style of trance is labeled but this time it was really bad selection of tracks. i was all set for experience and i got one but totattly different from music enjoyment.
though soundsystem, fire show and lazers were just amazing!!!! |

and indra what the hell are you talking about goa gil is not the master he sucks and everyone can have different opinions about him, we don't have to say he's good just bc he was one of the first.
i sent him an e.mail telling him what i think about him and his answer was hilarious... all shanti shanti... blaah

Usually I don´t post much around here but seein all this disrespect I just can´t keep my mouth shut. Everyone is entitled to express there opinions, but try to mantain a level on the conversation, otherwise we'll be goin into battle soon.
IMO, goa gil plays what he likes (which for me are the most psychadelic tunes around), just as any other dj does, and he as been spinnin this kind of sonority for years now. Everybody knows that!He is payed just like any other dj. What, you were expecting he would do it for free ( which he actually has done a few times)?? Ok, he is not the king of djing, but he never intended to be so anyway. As he keeps repeating, the purpose of his parties are takin people on a higher spiritual level. If you can´t go beyond the musical side of the party, then I guess you better choose other kind of parties. Just my thoughts.

I allways said that gil is not a good dj, but the man can put me with smile and i allways enjoy th party.
This year i liked so much.Thanks for showing that there is other kind of sound.I´m getting tired o listening the same sound.
What a true ride.
Hope to see him next year.

what elite isratrance? this i dont understand.
i understand what u speak about party as an experience and what goa gil is trying to do. and i was open to go for that ride. now - if that did not happen - does it mean i am so totally disrespectful or have no clue of what the party is about ? i dont think so.. i have been in much more further taking and uplifting experiences... it would be absolutely beautiful to have even deeper experience with gil (not even minding thousands of people in stimulators who create a very important part of party which is atmosphere), the way which music happened wasn't revelating. even though here in moscow we hear alot the sound that goa gil is playing, i cant say that i am used to it.
i was so surprised at myself that even asked around - and many people share the same opinion with me. they just would never write on this forum.

Oh I've got have my two cents.... I can't help myself.
OK, I understand that people might think he plays the best most psychedelic, what ever blah blah blah.
But don't you think you would enjoy it SO MUCH MORE if he could mix??? And the tracks flowed proper??? Just imagine.
I don't like his music anyhow, so I'm not bothered... But I do think that a paid dj should be able to actually have some skill rather than just being a Jukebox. I think he's stuck in 1995! If he's been around from the start, surly he should learn to mix by now! It's not that hard and he's had plenty of time!
And all this spiritual stuff... really??? I think its' just being loaded up with smoke and acid or whatever! AhAHAHA  spiritual Thats so funny!
