music for 10.000 people, enjoyed by 100....looked like a progressive family- meeting anywhere at a road in hungary...anyway, the people had fun and made the best what you can do in situations like this....dancing...
the apocalyptic rain on sunday and monday made it hard for the organizers to build up something special...some hungarien decorators didn,t show up and so we were alone with beautiful, fresh sound, the hungarien nature and lot,s of mud....
at least the idea of making a festival just with a progressive line-up is great and shows in which direction the scene and music will go in the next years...hopefully there will be a well organized and sunny " porn, dance and stars " festival next year....don,t give up...
if the story about the ozora organizer is true, i don,t know...but there were a lot of rumours about this...also there were nearly only foreigners on the event and friends of the porndance organizers....so it,s a bit strange, that there were no hungariens...there must be a reason for it.... |

First of all big thumbs up for the whole Porn crew you are all real stars in my book , for going with the plan even with all the problems going on there, keep that spirit up guys!!!

it was nice meeting all the greek crew DOC , Tikis ( too bad i didn't realy had a chance to hear you spin bro)
as for the music i don't think i can describe it in words just look at the line up that was spining & try to imagine that fantasy...yep it happens only @ fantasies & it happen in hungary @ porn dance

ok i am back to Greece now after some serious driving through central Europe and the Balkans and i feel like saying a few things about the porn stars fest.
When we got there on Monday midnight things looked pretty bad. One of the worst storms of the last few years had left the place in ruins and the people involved in the festival pretty demoralised. At this stage i thought that there was not going to be a party at all. Luckily the organisers prooved really committed to this project and they were having none of the weather's bullshit. They had already managed to sneak the soundsystem in before the rain turned the place into a giant mud lake.
We spent the first night in the car in the middle of the pretty foggy and wet hungarian countryside. The following morning things started to get lively again. People emerged from their tents and their houses in the nearby villages. Everybody seemed really determined to make this work. Low attendance (150-200 max) quickly turned this event into a cosy private gathering with familiar proggy-heads all over the place.
Emok, Antix, Peter Digital, Atmos, James Monroe, DJane Sheera, Steve-Hadshot and later Mapusa were all there to provide the goods alongside some really good hungarian DJ's and of course our very own Vasilis, Stratos, Doc, Nick Arara and Tikis. By Tuesday evening the party was well underway with James and Stratos delivering the music on a back to back mode.
I will not get into details about the music because this is not what amazed me in this festival. After all with a line up of this callibre good music was pretty much expected. I will just say that this was a heroic effort firstly by the organisers and then by the crowd to revitalise a seemingly dead fest. 200 people sustained the event for 3 days without leaving any of the dj's playing to an empty floor. The location was surprisingly suitable with a small hill overlooking the dancefloor and the vibe was incredibly cosy.
So, to sum it up:
1. Thumbs up to the organisers of this fest for keeping their spirits high despite encountering such a heavy storm.
2. Thumbs up to the fantastic crowd for quickly adjusting to the unfavourable conditions. It was pretty amazing that despite the small attendance the crowd was really international with Dutch, French, Portuguese, Greek, German, Israeli, British and of course Hungarian people.
3. Hungary is one of the most hospitable places in Europe. Nice food, affordable prices and dramatic landscapes. Check it out if you haven't been there yet.
4. If this fest had 300 to 400 people more and all the DJ's performing as originally planned it would easily have been the event of the year. So please please throw another one next year.
5. Ok i am a bit biased but i really enjoyed Vasilis' set. He played Wendesday late evening and delivered a full floor to Fabi and Strato. His music was gloomy, forest trance full of atmosphere and groove.
Thanks to all who were there and especially Stratos, Aris, Ilias and the rest of the greek contingent who once more prooved that greeks are at their best when they are abroad!!!

 unusual festival indeed.. i had so much fun that wasnt expected to had.. mainly because of the best and favorite music was played and the good mood all around.. although the bad conditions - no showers, water, shops, nice food nobody complained even the djs and just enjoyed the moments, the good music, the ppl and playing the music.. so the result was very possitive and spontaneous energy that made you forget about the lack of comfort and organization..
The bad moments became to a funny moments as when we came in the first day to the place we found a few tired ppl laying around and much more toilets than the ppl.. and the funniest thing - it was almost impossible to go to thse toilets and to avoid a huge amount of sticky disgusting mud everywhere around.. so ppl othen got stuck in the mud.. that was fun..
