anyways, i will catch the train from Vienna to Budapest...anybody know what to do from there? car hire is expensive. i can just afford beer, no food!

No car hiring is not expensive...The bar prices are going to be veryvery good,0,5l beer is going to be 1E...The food prices also are going to be very good..So relax my friend you are going to be drunk but you can also eat..))))Hehe |

so it will be possible to get there by train? (had a bad experience with car hire in germany!!)

better to go with train, so..
at the airport you should catch a taxi(i dont advise it), or take the Bus-93 and go to Kobanya-Kispest metro station. With metro you can reach every Train station of budapest, and at this site you can choose your train From Budapest to PINCEHELY (the location of the fest): http://www.elvira.hu/elvira.dll?language=2
the train starts either from station 'Déli Pályaudvar' or 'Keleti pályaudvar' and goes directly to Pincehely. The bus doesn't, you have to change it and it can be a little bit difficult at the countryside..
It's that simple! ;-)

And you are going with the M3,Metro to DEAK FERENC TER direction,then you have to change to M2,Metro to KELLETI PALYAUDVAR=TRAIN STATION or with the same metro to DELI PALYAUDVAR=TRAIN STATION.. |
